I requested rooms near the elevator when I made the booking, so I was a tad surprised to be given a room at the back of the hotel on the ground floor. I checked the room location, and it would have been OK, but only if the entrance doors were not locked. Some debate took place as to whether they would be locked or not, so I asked why I could not have the rooms I had booked near the elevator - and I was told I could! So why I was not just given them in the first place is a mystery that shall remain for all eternity.
The room was fine, all that you would expect, but for $217 a night it is expensive, $100 a night would be closer. Breakfast was so bad, we walked out. We had dinner in the hotel, and my dinner was fine, my wife and sister-in-law however thought their Rockfish way to strong, especially since they had asked and was told it was a mild fish. The coffee is really bad at the Sheraton, although the one my wife had at breakfast had a bolder flavor and more body in it - but that could just have been the dead fly in it, we are not sure.
The staff were great at the hotel, and although the food was disappointing in Chops, the staff did make for a nice evening - well at least until the fish.
