This is by far the best deal I have heard of in this area. Just a short drive to Clearwater and Sand Key Park. It has a nice pool area and a great beach. After hours check in was easy (they close at 5). The room was a little tacky (seagull stencils on the wall) but was meticulously cleaned. Our friends had a full sized fridge/freezer, we had a smaller one but still a stand up that could handle our booze needs. The checkout is a bit early at 10 o'clock. I will return and recommend.

Our stay (six adults) at Celebrity Resort (also known as The Bellair Beach Club Resort) at Belleair Beach, Florida was quite enjoyable. I had read six reviews of this facility in Trip Advisor reviews and was
a bit concerned about a few comments but they were mostly unfounded. The sign out front has Bellair Beach Club surrounded by pink neon, located at 3200 Gulf Blvd. The staff, especially Robert at the Front Desk were very friendly and informative. The rooms have undergone some upgrades with updated furniture, ceramic floors in the main livingroom area, etc. There are plans to make many changes over time we were told. I wasn't impressed with the stove and had to get use to
not turning the burner up very much or food would burn. The bedroom carpet is the orginial and in need of replacing but they are working on this. The pool was small but adequate and there was a small centre
courtyard with benches which was quite attractive. We had three one bedroom apartments (suites) on the second floor overlooking the pool,
long stretch of beach and the Gulf. The sand has a lot of bits of shells in it but is expansive and never ever crowded. The resort is located in a residential area just south of Clearwater and within 30 minutes of St. Pete's Airport. You do need a rental car but restaurants and shopping are not far. Ask for directions to PJs Restaurant while in the area, that is a must do! Definitely check out the Bealls OUTLET store just off West Bay Drive on Indian Rocks Road for great bargains. They have a punch card that when filled gives you an extra 20% discount on your next purchase of already discounted sale priced items. Love their handbags, shoes and great buys on swimsuits. The Publix grocery store next to Bealls has great cheesecake by the slice too!

This is not a five star resort by any means but one can overlook a few things considering the reasonable price to stay in a place directly on the beach. Nearby Clearwater Beach would be much more expensive. To protect the beach there are a few rules which are strictly inforced. No glass on the beach, drinks must be in plastic and we didn't have a problem with this. All in all, the six of us that stayed here would recommend it to others if you are wanting to stay in this area of Florida.

We wanted a nice place to stay during spring break where the whole family could relax and enjoy themselves. The only great thing about this resort is the beach - which has NOTHING to do with Celebrity Resorts. We booked this resort based on info and pictures on the resort's website. Travellers beware - the room pictures shown are NOT representative of what you are actually going to be staying in. Thet must have 1 or very few spacious rooms at this resort (the ones in the photos). As soon as we walked into our room, the front door practically touched the kitchen table, which was adjacent to our sofa/ living room. Our room was supposed to have a full kitchen - what we got was a clutter of appliances which only 1 person at a time could be in this "kitchen". Frankly, I have seen kitchenettes in motel rooms that are more functional than this was. Our refrigerator door BARELY opened halfway before it would bang into the cabinets facing it. Pots/pans in condo were disgustingly dirty and rusted, which was a big downside considering we barely went to restaurants but chose to cook most of our meals instead.
Also, our kids (aged 6 and 9) kept complaining about the discomfort they were getting form the beds/mattresses. They were waking up with sore backs the next morning.
We spoke to other families that were staying there at the same time as we were and they were similarly disappointed.
This goes to prove - the old saying holds true - you get what you pay for!
To make matters worse, a few months after your return home, you will get a call form Celebrity resort employees who will attempt to "bully" you into returning for another stay at an incredidly low price!
NO THANKS - I'd rather give my money to a worthwhile cause like a charity. One thing is certain - we will NOT be returning to any of the celebrity resorts!

This place was great. You couldn't ask for a better beach view than I had from my third floor balcony. The two room suite had everything you needed, including toiletries and a serviceable kitchen. The bed and pillows were fine, and the pool was nice and warm. The building was a little tattered around the edges, but not enough to be a problem.

The only truly questionable detail, in my view, was the fact that the bedroom had a window onto the well-lit hallway right next to the head of the bed. The blinds cover it relatvely well, but if you're a light sleeper, cover the window with an extra sheet or towel.

I got a good Entertainment book rate, but it looked to be about the same as the one on their website. So look there before you book on a big search engine like Orbitiz (where it definitely costs more.)

You could pay a lot more on Clearwater Beach and get a lot less.
