The Bridge Hotel is an okay value - you basically get what you pay for. It's an inexpensive hotel by the beach. But the rooms are very outdated. The a/c units in the rooms are old and musty. My room was damp when we got there, including the bed, probably because they don't leave the a/c running to keep the humidity out.
I was surprised that they would charge $10 to park in an open lot. They would not have known the difference if I told then I didn't have a car.
The Watercolors restaurant service was terrible. The server was non existent and didn't care. The manager was not doing a good job of taking care of things on a busy day - just made a lot of excuses. I couldn't even get a coffee refill during breakfast. I think there are better hotels in the area at a similar price point.

“Great Location, Great Staff”

Boca Raton Bridge Hotel

8 May 2008

This hotel has a great location. It is near the beach and has a great staff that are friendly and fun.

We went there for Brunch and decided to have a " Get A Way Weekend"

I suggest this hotel for its location, staff and value.

“Friendliest staff I've ever met”

First of all, I called Expedia, and got an even better rate than the website advertised, which made this a super deal. Then I read other reviews on this website and was concerned if not leery; in retrospect I find it very hard to believe that they are legitimate. The rooms were super clean, charming, with a comfy bed that was just right with crisp white linens and turn down service every night-no blood stains, no roaches, not even any noise and I was on the bridge level. I expressed these concerns to the manager via e-mail and she was very prompt, helpful, and EXTREMELY accommodating. Kudos to her and her crew. The staffers here were young and exuberant. Busted their tails making our stay pleasant and were friendly in doing so. Place seemed pretty busy and the restaurants seemed to be pretty popular with locals or tourists one. The place was bustling every night at dinnertime. I enjoyed my meals at Watercolor's and the setting was wonderful-patio oceanside dining with iguanas roaming and tropical fish below the ledge with a bird's eye view of the ships going in and out of the waterway and through the bridge. Added bonus is the beach just about a 5 minute walk away, and was the least crowded of the beaches we visited. It was lovely.

As with any boutique hotel that has to compete against the major chains, what this hotel lacks in glitz and modern amenities is more than made up for in service and location. My stay was short—just Saturday night—but I know I will definitely book this hotel again for a weekend getaway. The staff was professional and friendly, and the restaurant adjacent to the bridge was exactly how I imagined a South Florida waterfront restaurant to be. The Sunday brunch attracted plenty of locals, which should tell you something about the food and service. Boating is a mainstay in South Florida, especially during the weekends, and Lake Boca is no exception. Every weekend when the weather is nice the usually placid and serene ‘lake’ is transformed into a floating boat show complete with swimming and plenty of floating parties. You can bet that my next trip to South Florida will include a stay at this hotel. See you on the water!

“Musty Smell, Dated Decor”

Boca Raton Bridge Hotel

10 Mar 2008

It is hard to understand why the owners of a hotel with such a great location choose to so neglect the property. The furnishings look as if they have not been changed in 40 years. The couch had a sag in it. The prints on the wall were faded and mildewed and the entire hotel had a musty smell that was hard to take. Seeing the general condition of things, we were afraid to try the lively restaurant, afraid the kitchen suffered from the same neglect as the rest of the property. On the positive side, the mattresses were comfortable and the bathrooms, though tiny, had been updated somewhat recently. The staff was friendly and the views are great, but we won't be back.
