Stayed in this place when we got married on the beach 6 years ago. we go back at least once a year, place is always nice, clean, fresh. Staff is always polite and courteous. Quiet hotel located on marina. Fully stocked rooms have everything you need. Tons of restaurants close by, what a great place to stay. Park the car and relax here. Prices very reasonable considering proximity to clearwater beach. One of the areas best kept secrets for locals!!! Not on the gulf, but if you can deal with the intercoastal waterway and the marina instead of the gulf, stay here. this place is great. Get a suite with bedroom on the upper floors. Great views, HUGE rooms. Love the big bathrooms and large kitchenettes. They used to offer a discount for local residents, its wise to ask if you qualify. This place is A++++++. Lived here for 10+ years, by far the nicest local hotel in the area.

Perhaps if we had been on the bay side, we would have enjoyed this resort a little more. We were in 304 facing the street and buildings. The bay would have provided a wonderful view with the boats, pelicans, and even a dolphin or two!

When we arrived, there were beer cans in the trashcan, cigarette butts on the patio and a piece of trash here and there that had been overlooked by the maid. There's no dishwasher and we should have washed all of the dishes on arrival. We observed the maid washing dishes during the week and she didn't use soap! Up until then, we had really appreciated her daily, quiet service - cleaned bathroom each day, made bed, washed dishes, vacuumed a little. We're not accustomed to that in an RCI exchange.

The kingsize bed sagged in the middle but was okay. We had a very spacious bedroom including a sofa & dresser. Plenty of closet space. Large living room with small breakfast table that was perfect for card playing.

Loved having an ice machine and the elevator worked well.

The desk staff were not overly friendly but answered our questions and had maintenance make 2 requested repairs - sliding door stopped sliding and lamp was broken. The maintenance men were very polite and did the repairs quickly and efficiently.

It was too far to walk to the beach on the Gulf although you could swim at the beach at the Holiday Inn (more like the beginning of the bay). We drove to the beach instead. I just goofed not requesting a resort on the gulf - that's what I love. Live & learn!

We just returned from another trip to Clearwater Beach (May 5-May 8) and we stayed at Charte House Suites. We stayed in a large suite overlooking the marina. This place is still nice and highly recommended. Any, you can't beat the price compared to the so call "luxury" hotels and resorts in the area. Rose, the manager, is still very nice and accommodating.

You enter into a large, open room that is a small kitchen area with a full size refrigerato and living area w/pull out sofa bed. The dining area overlooks the marina and so does the private balcony. The bedroom overlooks the private balcony and the marina. The bathroom is huge...it contains a huge tub and a separate walk in shower.

It is a short drive (or you can catch the trolley) to the beach but it is clean, nice and quiet. We're planning on staying there next year (if the place is still there). They are still "talking about" tearing it down to build more condos but the area is already oversaturated with condos that aren't selling so I don't know if this will really happen or not.

My room was on the ground floor and had a nice little patio overlooking the marina. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet, so much so that at times I wondered if I was the only guest in the entire place.

The room included a table with two straight back chairs for meals, but no comfortable chairs. I complained to the desk clerk who told me, "That's just the way it is." The following day, the manager gave me a chair from the lobby to use.

The sink in the room did not have a stopper, but this was repaired after I complained to the manager.
