You couldn't pick a nicer location for the combination of parents relaxing and kids being able to run around. The hotel has some unobstructed views of the Atlantic. Having stayed before in a Kid Suite, I recommend paying more for the Oceanview suite. The Kid Suites are nice if you are trying to get a value, but the Oceanviews are fairly priced. The combination of watching sunrise from your patio and having real prviacy between the two large rooms is worth it. The hotel is well-staffed and the staff gave me as much time as I needed. The only problem encountered was internet but that was resolved promptly. The facilites show wear here and there - typical for beach side hotels. More important, the room was very clean and the pools were crystal clear. Beach access is direct so you can go whole days without getting into your car. Overall, a great place for families to enjoy an awesome beach location.

Super low budget hotel. Parking and the noise level was horrible. Most of the rooms are so far away from the beach its hardly worthy of the title "oceanfront". Our room was clean but real small & in desperate need of updating. Room service coffee arrived in a styrofoam cup. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

For the most part, the staff seemed attentive and reasonable. There was one hitch where our room didn't get made for the last night, but aside from that they were good.

The rooms, despite being updated, still are a little tattered. The ventilation in the rooms is poor, so the humid Florida air coupled with the moisture from the shower just makes for an overwhelming mildew smell. The carpets were dirty. The beds seemed clean, linens acceptable.

As far as the resort (pools, tennis courts, beach) it's fabulous. Well maintained, very nice resort facilities.

I was a little discouraged at first about staying at this resort when I read the previous posters. Sorry y'all, but you're WRONG! This place was GREAT! Our room was clean, and the staff was extremely courteous and pleasant. The beach was wonderful, and the pool was huge, with plenty of chairs. My son loved the kiddie pool (he's only 13 months old, but I was happy 'cause he could sit in the ankle-high water and play). I only wished the pool was heated, but even that was fine.

Mambo's had an eccletic menu, which was great. We felt that we never needed to leave the hotel to eat. On the Friday before we left, they had a Fiesta Brevard party. Locals came and partied. It was fantastic!

My hubby and I pretty much laid out on the beach all day, while our son played on the sand. We couldn't have asked for a better, more relaxing getaway.

I don't know what the previous posters are griping about -- it's not the Four Seasons or the Ritz. We will definitely come back.

I don't understand the "garbage everywhere on Cocoa Beach" statement made in the other review. We were there at the same time and it was clean as a whistle! It's a beach, not a pool at the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton.

My brother and I stayed here because it was an inexpensive hotel on the beach. The hotel was a bit older but it definitely offered peace and relaxation. The rooms are all exterior rooms but they are nice. The beach is beautiful, especially at night. The pool was huge! L shaped configuration and there is a pirate ship themed play area for the little ones in ankle deep water with slides, sprayers, etc. Whirlpool/Jacuzzi was nice because it was within a gazebo and offered a lot of privacy. Pool bar was somewhat expensive, in fact the bars on the cruise were cheaper. Mambo's is a nice place to hang out at night and watch the sunrise. Service was excellent! No problems whatsoever. There are also tennis and shuffleboard courts if you get bored. There is a touristy beach store across the street, Denny's Restaurant is within walking distance, and the Cocoa Beach Trolley stop is right outside the hotel if you want to go down towards Ron Jons and the Pier. It costs $1.00 a person and runs every half hour on the hour.

Definitely recommend this hotel as pre or post cruise as well as for families with little ones.
