Daytona Beach has a up to date luxury hotel. We completely enjoyed The Shores. Room was modern, nice size. Hotel lobby, bar area and restaurant very nice. Pool area was a little small but nicely done. Outdoor Tiki bar & service was good. Evenings by the fire pits and/or the outdoor music was great. Thought the food & drinks were a little pricey compared to the room prices. This is not like any of the old Daytona Beach hotels. We'll return.

Much of my travel is professional. Thus, my hotel is paid for by sponsoring organizations & I am glad someone else is picking up the tab for places I usually regard as overpriced. While my stay was underwritten, the Shores is someplace I’d gladly return paying out of pocket. Fairly pricey but definitely value for money. Clean, quiet, good gym, free internet. Great pool & beach resort. Free parking & covered bridge across five-lane avenue (only hotel around with same). Very attentive service. Minor drawback-requested wakeup call, not received; room coffee pot did not work coffee cup was dirty. Minor flaws, would not preclude an enthusiastic return.

My 2nd visit better than the 1st (and that was near perfect). Wonderful hotel, spa and pool. But what sets it aside from the rest of the best is their management team and staff. Beautiful, well planned rooms with ooh la la baths.. Smokers are welcome, but as a non, I never knew it. Pets are welcome too! The gym is like everything else..topnotch..Extras like evening visits from housekeeping, to pool service ... all adds up to outstanding service and value..Can't wait to return!

I had the good luck to stay overnight at the Shores Resort this week.
While I studied the photos online, reality was so much better. After a long drive, it was heaven to be able to stop at the beachfront tiki bar and lounge in an adirondack chair around the firepit.
Next morning, a long walk on the pristine sand just outside the pool gave me a great start to my vacation.
Bedding and bathrooms were top-notch. Staff friendly and professional.
Lunch at Azure was exceptional and I could barely tear my eyes away from the sparkling ocean view.
I will definitely be returning for a longer stay and book a spa package and a wrap around balcony room.
