My wife and I just returned from a week-long stay at the Extended Stay Suites in Deerfield Beach. We were looking for a reasonably priced location--anyone who has priced hotel/motel rates in the Fort Lauderdale-Miami area recently knows that there are few of those to be found at this time of year. We also wanted somewhere close to both the I-95 freeway and the beaches. The Extended Stay proved to be perfect on all fronts. Within sight of I-95and less than two miles from the Atlantic, the motel sits directly next to a convenient Cracker Barrel restaurant and within minutes of dozens of other places to eat. It is clean, well-managed (we found the front desk personnel to be both extremely friendly and always efficient), and, though the rooms are hardly spacious, they are comfortable and offer all the amenities of home with a full-sized refrigerator, kitchen utensils, and much more. Consistent with the entire chain, the motel does not provide a continental breakfast in the morning (it is assumed that you will make your own) but there is WiFi capability, a quite nice laundry room, and a staff that goes out of its way to be accommodating in dozens of ways. When we are back in the area again, as we will be repeatedly, we'll stay there again. Others ought to seriously consider doing so too.
