We have just returned from Tropic Isle Beach resort! Each year we try to stay there for 3 weeks. We have tried apartments in the area in the past but now we have found our favorite place! It has everything you need to have a comfortable and relaxed vacation. Not only are the owners very warm welcoming and friendly but they also provide you all the service and neccessities you could wish to have for a convenient and memorable vacation.

They provide you beach towels, chairs, sun umbrella's, hair dryers, ironboards, irons etc. (This saves you lots of weight to put into your suitcase. Especially if you travel from Europe where you have to stick to a maximum luggage weight!). Moreover the rooms are cleaned daily, even if you would need fresh towels on a Sunday they will provide it to you. The kitchens are also fully equipped with everything you need to make yourself a nice meal. The apartments are located very conveniently; close to supermarkets, restaurants, shops, bars, ice cream parlor and most important: The beach!

Deerfield beach has a beautiful, well kept beach and boulevard with showers and a pier. (You can even snorkle to a reef nearby.) Tropic Isle also has a well kept beautiful garden where you can make use of the bar-b-q and have a picknick at one of the tables under the palm trees and hybiscus flowers. It also has a pool which is heated in winter and nice and fresh in summertime!

What more can I say? Tropic Isle is THE place to relax and enjoy your holiday. Once you have been there you know what I am talking about. Just go and see for yourself!

I choosed the Hotel because I knew, that is was close to the Deerfield Beach. So have a look at Google Earth, you can messure your self. It is just 130 yards. When my wife and I arrived late afternoon, on April 20th, Joe came and greet us with a hug. Joe and Linda run that Hotel in a special way. They take care on everything. So we found the Gaarden and our room spotless clean. The room was just one of the Efficiencys, but we found it very big. More than you normally find in a Hotel. A lot of room to store all your things. A free safe in the room. Free beach chairs and towels. The room had a big kitchen with everything you need for living. Behind the rooms was a little place to wash your stuff. When you are on a long trip you will like this. Everything was very very clean and you could see the hosts run arround the whole day to make the place a lovely space to chill out. The last Hurrican took away some of the wonderful plants, but you could not see a single piece that remembers you on the Hurrican. You will not find many places, were the Managers keep everything so well maintained. They are working on it, like we say in Germany, with their Hearts. We stayed 8 nights and paid 570 USD which was a very good price, because it was after the Easter Break. If you are looking for a quiet place to have a relaxed beach vacation this is your place. Compare to a lot of other place we have visited, this Hotel shows nothing of worn out or shabby things, in or outside. For us it was a perfect place. If you want Deluxe settings at Beachfront you will find other places, but I guess for 5 time the price.

My wife, three-year-old son and I have stayed at the Tropic Isle motel three times in the past four years, most recently this past week, and have always appreciated its 1950s-style architecture, its lovely tropical garden, its clean and well-stocked efficiencies and its location one short block from the beach. There is a new set of owners there now and they seem to be working hard to make the place even better -- for example, they have taken out the tired carpets and have replaced the flooring with linoleum. Also, they now have daily maid service if you like. They also cheerfully provide beach towels, chairs and other amenities. And unlike most "heated pool," the water in the Tropic Isle's secluded pool was about 82 degrees. They even had "welcome" signs for us on the door to our room (we arrived very late). While it is among the cheapest motels on the beach at Deerfield, we could have stayed at chain motels further west for less, but chose Tropic Isle for the above reasons. One slight flaw: while the motel rooms are smoke-free, the motel does cater to a large degree to Europeans. During our most-recent stay this meant everytime we walked to our room we had to constantly pass a cigarette butt-filled ashtray outside a nearby room, even when the occupants of that room were not around. I don't say they should make the grounds non-smoking, but somebody needs to be cleaning out those ashtrays and not let them linger all day.
