We arrived on Saturday and stayed until Monday. It ain't the Atlantis on the Bahamas, but if you have kids, this is a great place to expose them to nature. Of course, there was some nature we could have done without. We had a love bug swarm descend on the Key while we were there, but that's hardly the fault of the Seafarer's management, so we dealt with them the best we could. I tell you, those little buggers get EVERYWHERE!!!
Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay at a relatively reasonable rate.
A very enjoyable little reort. Right next to the Manasota Beach Pavillion, where there are often fun events going on. This place is directly on the beach, and you would be hard pressed to find a better sunset. It doesn't get much better than watching the sun sink into the Gulf of Mexico and sippin on a rum thang. There was abundant wildlife seen through out our stay. We saw snowy egrets, great blue herons, an osprey, pelicans and all sorts of songbirds. We saw a few jacks while snorkelling, and were even treated to a pod of dolphins about 15 yards offshore! Seeing them swimming so close was a real treat, but hearing them chattering to each other was definitely the wildlife highlight of my trip.
The snowy egret that was hanging around was in no way shy about wanting a little of what you were having for breakfast.
