We travelled here for our 2nd Anniversary. We feel in love with The Atlantic Resort. I am big on service and this hotel did not disappoint. First impressions matter, Jarvis the front desk associate was friendly and very pleasant. We arrived early and he asked for our cell number to contact us when a room was available. He enthusiastically promised we would be pleased with our room and wished us a happy anniversary. Once our room was ready, they let us check-in early. A big plus!
Like I said first impressions matter, the hotel is gorgeous, exterior, the lobby, seating areas......but nothing beats our AMAZING room! When we walked in our mouths dropped! Did I already say AMAZING! Our room was a king bedroom oceanfront deluxe suite on the 10th floor. It was the size of an apartment. Entering our room you walk down a small hallway. We had separate living and dining room areas, a full, yes full kitchen(stocked with all kitchen and dining needs), separate bedroom, 2, yes 2 bathrooms, one bathroom with a separate jacuzzi tub, double sinks, even a vanity stool. OMG, the balcony was huge, was the length of the room, we had 3 entrances our private balcony (living room, dining room, and our bedroom). LOVE. LOVE. LOVE! And the view of the ocean from our balcony was beautiful. Our balcony was so large it was the length of 3 balconies right below us. BIG!
The bed and other furniture was very comfortable. Nicely decorated room and balcony. We also had 2 plasma tv's (bedroom and living room). And men would love the Bose surrondsound, a plus for my husband. :)
Other Likes, the nightly turndown special is always plus. The concierge, Cheryl was sweet, and helped us with getting around Fort Lauderdale. The hotel made you feel relaxed, like a resort should. The pool area was nice, the servers were very attentive. The pool was warm and also had beautiful views of the ocean. I felt like we were on an island in the States. The service quality here is 5 Star all the way!
We also had breakfast there one day, it was delicious. You are close enough to other restaurants to explore. I would recommend Shula's for dinner. You are walking distance, cab ride, or Trolly ride from many happenings. We liked being located on the quieter side of Fort Lauderdale.
We are travellers, and I must say this is the most wonderful hotel we've stayed in. From the service, to the well appointed rooms, and other perks. This is definitely more than we expected and the pleasant surprise room they gave us for our anniversary! It was worthy every penny. When we come back to Fort Lauderdale this is definitely where we will be! So should you!
By the way, my husband chatted with the owner and his friend and didn't know it until later in the conversation. Very down to earth and an example of this hotel experience.
Pay extra and get the suite. You won't be disappointed. 10th floor!
