My friend & I stayed at this motel for two nights prior to our cruise. It was very nice having a kitchenette. There was a coffee maker but no filters or coffee packs available. It's not a fancy place by any means.....just comfortable. The pool is right outside each door and it was quiet. The down side is the fact the trolley never came by so we did a lot of walking and suffered the blisters. We did grab a trolley from the main strip after we were told it drives by the motel, but the trolley driver loudly announced "this is the last stop" which was still 1 miles away!!! We never saw taxis in the two days we spent there. My recommendation? Rent a car!

My teenage daughter and I stayed five nights in June 2007 and the room was perfect for us. We weren't seeking a luxurious hotel, as the vacation was all about snorkeling/beach time and we didn't fly 3000 miles to hang out in the room. I feel sorry for anyone who goes on vacation and files a complaint about the television.

We were on a tight budget, so it was perfect to have a little kitchen to cut down on foot costs and the room cost itself was tremendous for what you get (especially if visiting during the off-season). There was plenty of silverware and dishes, clean towels, all appliances were in perfect working condition and everything was clean. No cleaning services on Sunday was a total non-issue for us (and that information is posted on their website) and every other day, we returned to a spotless room and believe me, we gave her a challenge with all the sand that we ended up carrying back in with us.

Angela (the owner) is extremely friendly, as is her staff. I consider Napoli Belmar to be a gem of a find and I've already made reservations for a return visit this summer.

It is an average family-run budget motel--nothing special. We stay in budget places all the time, and this is not even on par with those. Very old bed, mattress, windows didn't shut, towels the size of a washcloth, 40 yr old TV with no remote, etc.There are about a dozen better motels in the area--we checked out after one night and had a great 3 night stay elsewhere. Really, the staff must be writing these evaluations...it is an average place....certainly shouldn't be in the top 5 for Ft. Lauderdale listings.

I was astonished at what we were giving for the price. A full kitchen with dishes is never a bad thing. If you really want to budget. Stay here and hit the grocery store and eat in a few meals if you want. This would be great for a larger group or family where eating in just one meal would really help budget the money. It's not on the water but it's about 3 blocks away which is very easy to walk. I would stay again and perhaps longer next time.
