My mom and I stayed in this brand new hotel in late October.
Everything is very new and very nice. We liked everything about our junior suite. Here are some things you might want to know.
The large vanity sink is in the room, just outside of the bathroom (with toilet and large-walk in shower).
Each of the double beds (with wonderful mattresses) had 7 pillows and bolsters of various types and sizes. Something for everyone. We piled the extra pillows from two beds on the chase lounge.
The amenities included robes, a "sleep' CD, an eye mask,
ear plugs and the usual toiletries.
Our 8th floor room had a microwave, a small refrigerator,
coffee making supplies, a flat-screen HDTV, iron, ironing board
and an in-room safe.
We had room service hot sandwiches, very expensive, but room service always is. They were very, very good (above average)
very nicely served by a very professional waiter. They arrived on a rolling table (cart) set with a tablecloth and cloth napkins
(rather than on a tray). We enjoyed eating at the table.
We have 2 negative comments. First, the cost of valet parking
seems excessive, $17, I believe. I believe $10 would be a fair price. If I recall, self-parking was not an option.
Second, the hotel website had extremely misleading directions from the airport. Following the web-site directions (as of October) we drove away from the hotel rather than towards the hotel. Luckily we knew the area just well enough to realize something was wrong and managed to redirect ourselves. When we did check-in, we were very impressed with the front desk reaction which was to make a copy of our website print out we were clutching, in order to address the problem as soon as possible. Be sure to use MapQuest/Google Maps in order to create your own map before you leave home.
