My son and I stayed here for 3 nights when we went to spring training. We arrived at 3 AM and our room was waiting on us. Hot cinnamon rolls were available in the lobby.
Everyone we can into contact at the hotel was nice and friendly. The rooms were just fine with us, except for two things. The sliding door would not slide. I had to lift it, then push open, then drag it shut. The stool would not flush well and kept running til the handle was jiggled.
We were on the top floor (343) and could see the water over the trees. We went to the beach. It is pretty narrow, with grass and other vegetation growing on it. Not a place for a beach vacation. We Saw very few fast food places and several higher priced restaurants. There is a fish place beside the hotel, but their service is not good and according to the reviews on here, the food is not good either. There is a cafe 1/2 block north that is not bad.
We paid $180/night, which is a little steep for a HI Express. The breakfast bar was pretty good.

The food at the free breakfast was more than adequate. We were able to get adjoining rooms which seems hard to do these days. The rollaway beds were comfortable (for rollaway beds). We were hoping the hotel would be closer to the beach and maybe even have a view of the ocean. It was neither but it was only a short two minute walk to the beach and a mile walk to a beautiful pier.

The location was convenient to attractions. We'd stay here again.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and probably would not go back. Its in a great location, only 1 block from the beach and within walking distance of several good restaurants. However, it is really in need of renovation and maintenance. Room decor has a dated look, there were stains on the carpet, and two luggage carts we procured to help haul our luggage to the second floor had flat tires! While eating breakfast, one of the tables was so rickety that our food nearly fell to the floor. Staff were rather inattentive. For example, when we checked in a staff member was talking on the phone and never looked up until she hung up. Staff members we met in the elevator or on the grounds never spoke. Room rates go way up in the winter, so you are paying close to $200 a night, and we expected better service. There were a few positives. The motel is on spacious, well landscaped grounds and the pool looked quite nice. Also, the breakfast. was good and well presented.

This hotel is perfect. It is a block and 1/2 to the beach. I can't say enough about this place. It is located across the street from CVS - also Ke'e Grill and many more walking distance great locations. Our family (8) stayed for a week and I did the booking so I was a little nervous. From check in to check out we could have not been more pleased. The continental breakfast was delicious, hot omelets, biscuits and gravy, french toast, cereal (hot and cold) muffins, english muffins, bagels, cream cheese, butter, juices, coffee, tea. Everything was fresh and replenished quickly!!! Our room overlooked the pool on the second floor, King size bed, plenty of pillows, comfy bed. We loved it all. I will give you a hint - call them directly and ask for the westpalmbeach.com rate and you will pay $89 a night!!! Could it get any better?????? I would definitely stay here again and am already planning on coming back next November
