Hilton Head Island

From the moment that you arrive at the Seascape Tropical Inn, you know that you made the right choice. Koko, the manager, warmly greets you and goes out of his way to make you feel at home. The inn is small but charming with only six rooms and an apartment surrounding a garden with a pool that seems like an oasis in the middle of old Key West. The rooms are cozy, clean, and comfortable. Each room is uniquely decorated in beautiful beach decor with a flat screen TV, DVD player, refrigerator, and coffee maker--all the creature comforts. Although, you don't need to make your own coffee, because Koko prepares a bountiful breakfast with Mimosas every morning! The inn is within walking distance of EVERYTHING, and Koko makes sure that you have good time. Koko is the heart of the Seascape Tropical Inn, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else!! There's a sign in the entry hall that perfectly describes our experience: "Enter as strangers. Leave as friends."

“Old Key West Charm”

Seascape Tropical Inn

19 May 2008

If you want to experience the flavor and charm of old Key West, head for the Seascape Tropical Inn. When our son was recently married, we had the pleasure of staying there with family and friends and all unanimously agreed that we had found a little slice of paradise!!!

Despite all of the many attractions and distractions in Key West, we found ourselves gravitating back to the inn to relax in the intimate setting of the pool. We enjoyed Mimosa's by the pool each morning as we listened to the roosters and became friends with the resident cats who basked in the sun just waiting for their ears to be scratched. Each morning we leisurely had a lovely continental breakfast by the pool before heading out to explore. We were 1/2 block from Duval Street with abundant restaurant choices and within walking distance of everything. The rooms were obviously not spanking new, but were kept spotless and we all much preferred the ambiance of this quaint and charming inn to the "glitz" of some of the newer places we saw. Plus, we admit that we quickly grew used to being pampered by the inn's greatest asset, Koko. He has managed Seascape Tropical Inn for over 14 years and is, hands down, the most personable, charming, caring "manager" we've ever encountered. He makes you feel as though you've known him for years and are reconnecting with a long-lost friend. His attention to the "details" is astounding: he had Corona's waiting in each of our fridge's when we arrived and a list of his personal favorite “eateries”-which were “spot on”. Koko adds so much to the charm of the inn and as far as we're all concerned, should be declared a Key West treasure!

We could go on and on, but if you're planning a trip to Key West and prefer a Bed and Breakfast experience, you will not go wrong staying at the Seascape Tropical Inn. Relax and allow yourself to be well taken care of but be prepared to find yourself plotting ways to extend your stay.

“Welcome to Paradise!”

The small sign at the entry to Seascape announces, "Welcome to Paradise", how correct! We were greeted with cold beers and a warm welcome by our first host, Len. He had been expecting us and was ready to help us find a permanent parking spot for our car, making our arrival as hassle free and easy as possible. His restaurant recommendations were spot on, we never ate such fantastic food as we did in KW. Our next few days we were hosted by Koko, who was just as accomidating and wonderful as our first host. His easygoing and fun manner, and knowledgable recommendations for sightseeing and eating made our trip a truly memorable experience. My husband and I both loved the convenient yet quiet location next to the action of Duvall Street. Our room was neatened every day by friendly staff and was comfortable and clean. We also enjoyed the self service drinks and afternoons in the patio jacuzzi. The breakfast was basic but provided all we needed for a good start to our day, including mimosas! We would love to return to Key West, when we do we will be reserving Seascape. I hope to recommend the Inn to friends if they travel to KW.

My husband and I stayed for a week at Seascape at the end of April. We got exactly what we were hoping for~GREAT location and a quiet place to relax! Koko, the very gracious manager, was ready with a cold beer and great recommendations for restaurants, which was fantastic, because we arrived late in the day(hungry!) and didnt have to guess! Although we had a car, we didnt move it all week! We made use of the bicycles available at Seascape, because our goal was to see as much as possible without leaving Old Town Key West. Fort Zachary Taylor State Park was an easy bike ride, has a really nice beach for sunbathing, and fairly good snorkeling right off the beach. Seascape has beach chairs to use that are very easy to transport. All restaurants, and shopping etc., are within an easy bike ride or walk from Seascape. If you just want to relax in the patio area and read etc., this is a great place for that as well. The accommodations were clean and cozy and we felt right at home. If we get the chance to visit Key West again, we will surely stay at Seascape! Thank You!

“Great B&B”

Seascape Tropical Inn

Lakeland, FL

Was very busy last year planning a wedding, so I'm just getting to this review now. What really makes this B&B great is the people! After speaking with Beth over the phone to make the reservation, I knew this was the place to stay. Beth promised to save us a parking space in front of the Seascape and that she did. We never moved our car for the 3 nights we spent there. She even made sure the other couple we were traveling with got a space in front even though they weren't checking in until nighttime. Koko was only there for one day of our trip, so we didn't get to interact with him like everyone else. The location of the Seascape is great - within walking distance of everything, yet quiet and secluded at night. The rooms were always clean and breakfast on the patio was great. The cats were very sweet. Met some really nice people there during our stay while hanging out in the hot tub. Only drawback would be no cool pool to take a dip in on a hot day, however, I think it would be difficult to find one at any B&B in Key West. All in all, a great place to visit. We hope to own a Key West B&B just like the Seascape one day!
