Pros: Waterfront location; nice pool; clean room & bath; comfortable beds; helpful front-desk staff.
Cons: Over 2 miles from downtown; our rooms faced noisy Route 1; garbage trucks awoke us as 3AM.
We reserved a 2 room suite, but found it had only 2 beds. Front desk substituted 2 regular rooms without hassle. On a previous visit we stayed at the Doubletree, which was a much nicer hotel, though even further from downtown. We were expecting the Marriott to be as nice, but it was definitely a lower class property despite the high price - outside entrances to rooms, no elevator, etc. Next time we'll stay at the Doubletree, or maybe try the Westin.

This hotel is the next best thing to staying at a B&B near Duval. While not in the old town, the CY Marriott is fairly close to it (a mile or so), and we just took our car into the town and always found metered or free parking. The rooms are nicely appointed (we had a queen suite with an extra jacuzzi tub & kitchenette) and the courtyard garden around the pool beautifully landscaped in a tropical theme. There is even a tiny mini-beach with sunchairs. Try to get a room away from the street to avoid any street noise. The breakfast is ok and the receptionists were always helpful. Overall a great experience!

We love this place. We had planned on staying one night in Key West. We ended up staying 4 nights. It is a little ways from the downtown, but it has a free shuttle running ever hour until 11pm or so. Which works great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The full buffet breakfast was included in the price. From the boardwalk we saw lots of interesting sea creatures. We will definately stay here on our next trip.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend and have nothing but good things to report. From the check in to the restaurant, to the pool bar to the room, everything was wonderful. The service was excellent and the pool area is one of the nicest I've seen. Allison at the pool bar is delightful! Yes, it's a shuttle ride to downtown but they leave every hour on the hour and return at 20 minutes after the hour and we used it as we did not have a car. I saw no evidence of old or stained furniture. This did used to be an old Howard Johnson's and there was a lot of refurbishing I'm sure. All in all, I would highly recommend it. I even sent a letter to the manager!
