Stayed at this gem in April to relax after a long winter. Suzy was very friendly and helpful, for anyone needing help booking any of the excursions available. We stayed in the Cottage, very private - lovely marble (?) floors, very comfortable king bed, fridge and microwave. We had Key West Massage come to us on the first morning, and it was wonderful! $160 for a couple's massage- what a way to start a vacation!
I also highly recommend Danger Charter (with any luck you will get Meegan or Christi as your crew!) for either their Eco all day cruise or for the Wind and Wine sunset trip. They really know how to make you feel comfortable and pampered. Captain Dennis and Captain Haigh are wonderful too! We also did a sunset dinner trip with Liberty Schooner and they made it a memorable evening as well, with wonderful food and good music.
An Island Oasis is a nice walk from the downtown, and within a block or so of Louie's Backyard (make reservations), and from the Beach. When it gets too crazy and hot the dipping pool is a nice alternative to the heat and sun - kind of like a hot tub without heat!
Breakfasts are continental with stuff like bagels and tropical fruit - and in the evening the night blooming jasmine are not to be missed. This is a place we will go back to.
Other good places to eat - Bagatelle's, Schooner Wharf, Conch Republic, Banana Cafe, Martinis at Virgilios, Turtle Kraals, Margaritaville, Latitudes on Sunset Key, Bo's Fish market. Best beach IMO is Fort Zachary Taylor beach (wear water socks!), rent an electric car and see the island better - definately more to it than just Duval Street!
