The internet ad is a little mis-leading. It describes the space as an Oasis, however it's on a fairly busy street so anytime outside in the garden or patio, it is punctuated by the noise of motorcycles and scooters. The "pool" is actually an 8x8 dipping spa/pool. Also, pool is visible from street so little privacy.
The patio area on other side of house in nicely shaded from steet which is where a fairly nice breakfast buffet is set up each morning.
Our bathroom was tiny and there wasn't enough hot water in the shower to warrant turning on the cold.
There is no real air conditioner, but some type of cooling device is provided in the room.
The room is a bit dark and dreary. There were several lights however they took up most all the outlets in the room. We had to unplug a light to plug in our laptop.
On the plus side, they were helpful and knowledgable on area activities. If you rent a scooter or bycycle from the vendor right down the street, you will get a $5.00 discount,
Wifi is available to use at your convenience.
Location is nice to Sounthern Most Beach and away from the worst of the traffic from Duvall Street.
For the amount charged per night we expected a little more of an "Oasis". It is in fact just an old house that has been converted into "rooms for rent"

This bed and breakfast was idyllic. We stayed in the cottage room which had a private entrance and seating area. The place was spotless as were the sheets and towels. The hosts were so helpful and helped us book onto a dolphin spotting cruise. The breakfast was very good, lots of fresh fruit and fresh home-made bread. As a vegan I had plenty of choice, supplies were unlimited and it was a lovely way to start the day out on the quiet sunny patio.
The location suited us fine as we didn't want any of the noise of Duval St. However, it is easy walking distance to all the action.
We will definitely be back and have been recommending this little slice of paradise to everyone!

The Island Oasis was really a find - I feel as if I got lucky when looking at the internet sites, as I cannot imagine enjoying any hotel or B&B more than Island Oasis. Hosts were very helpful in giving information and were warm and welcoming from the moment of arrival. Thanks for making the very first Key West experience truly fun!

We loved staying in this bed & breakfast. It was down by the Southernmost point, half a block away from the beach, it was quiet and peaceful there. It really did feel like an Oasis, especially as we ducked under palm fronds to get to our room. It was cosy and romantic. We got one of their cottage rooms, right next to the hammock and dipping pool, (which was a luxury on those hot days). Clean, cool and comfortable room. Complete with a king size bed, hardwood floor (and ceiling), a mini-fridge and microwave (thank you!), cable with lots of channels, wicker dresser, chair and tables. The bathroom was excellent, clean and well equipped: the shower had a caddy, a shampoo/gel dispenser right in the shower, and a towel just for makeup. Plus the complimentary breakfast was exciting... bagels, fruit, cereal, juice, muffins... a real money-saver. Plus, the concierge was very nice and helpful. (Thanks expedia.com)
