Nice hotel. Really had a good time at Key West...

Pros: Nice hot tub, good room, nice breakfast, excellent service, close to Duval Street...

Cons: Small bathroom, small television

Overall this is a great place to stay, I would highly recommend it...

Stayed here for 1 night, on a trip down from Miami. We managed to find a car parking space just a few yards down the road, where we left the car for the duration of our stay. From the hotel it's fairly easy to walk around Key West (Duval St maybe 20 minutes).

We arrived around 2pm and the room wasn't quite ready. No problem though, only had to wait 10 minutes :-)
Roman on the front desk is very friendly and full of ideas for excursions, restaurants etc. We followed his advice and booked the excellent Danger cruise.

Our room was immaculate, with a large comfortable bed, stylish ceiling fan, small but spotless bathroom.

There was an excellent outdoor jacuzzi just outside our room. Very romantic to use at night in the tropical environment. There's also a swimming pool which is smallish but still perfectly usable for swimming- and quite warm too! Also many chairs dotted around for lounging.

Continental breakfast was good, not great - juice, cereal, croissants, bagels etc.

Heron House Court has its ups and downs. We enjoyed the pool & hot tub and the size of our room was fine. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was fine. Our gripe was more that our room seemed a bit worn. We had a room just off the patio, number 5. The blinds on the door were broken, the bathroom needed paint, the border was peeling, the TV was old and the batteries were taped into the remote—most of the time. On Sunday breakfast was late and the baked goods were stale. That latter is unacceptable for a B&B. There are other places that are nicer for the same price. While we were there we walking around and checked out several other properties including The Mermaid & The Alligator, The Gardens and The Weatherstation Inn. We will likely stay in one of these three the next time we come. Heron House Court is a bit of a walk from Duval but it does have a number of great waterside restaurants & bars nearby. Key West was wonderful.

My wife and I stayed at the Heron House Court. The place was just what we were looking for. The B+B itself was fine. Outside, it had a nice size hot tub out side, a decent pool. There was a covered deck area to sit in bad weather, a sun deck, a covered front porch and upper balcony. We were in room 12, with a king size bed. The bed was comfortable, the room quiet (we never heard anyone else from our room), great water pressure in the shower. Plenty of towels, soap, lotions, etc were provided. As many other posters said, Roman was great to have around. Very informative and attentive. If I was going to offer any negatives of the property, it would be that the TV was like a 17 inch tube TV. Not that we watched much TV, but with the price of flat screens now, an upgrade is in order. Also, the breakfast left something to be desired. Wasn't expecting much from a continental breakfast, but even the bagels were pretty bland. The location is not as far as we thought from Duval Street, and it was close to the Bight. With Finnegans Wake around the corner, and Harpoon Harry's so close, it was always easy to get a bite to eat, and the late night stumble home from Duval never took more than 10-15 min.
Overall, a very good experience.
