As you arrive at the main part of the inn you drive down a dirty alley filed with trash. The inn is next to some ramshackle houses. Our friends rooms in the main part of the inn really needed some upgrading. Our room in the Treetop studio was down a dirty side street filled with broken bottles. Again the room needed some major upgrades. There was peeling wallpaper, stains on the walls etc. There was a dead roach or some bug in the bathroom. Towels were thin, skratchy and had stains on them. Happy hour by the pool consisted every night of cheez-its and pretzels. Breakfast was english muffins, toast, supermarket danish and instant oatmeal. There is no place to eat except by the pool so you are out of luck if it is raining. I would not reccomend Andrews although George was a doll and very helpful.

My girlfriend and myself stayed at Andrews Inn for five nights in mid December. We stayed in the Roma room. It was our first time in Key West.

The best feature of the room was its large comfortable king size bed. It also had a TV which we used sparingly, a small desk & a small fridge. The bathroom was small but was all that we really needed.

The property is right in the middle of Duval Street and we walked North to Mallory Square and bars a few times, and also walked south to see the Southernmost Point. It is in a quiet area, and is very secluded.

Recommendations - Make sure to check out the Taylor Beach. It's $1.50 per person, but is very secluded and has an EXCELLENT view of the sunset. Make sure to check out the Lighthouse as well for great views of the island.

Also, one of the best things about Andrews is that you can rent bikes for a reasonable fee and cruise around the island. We took our bikes down to Smathers beach a few times, and also to Taylor Beach.

Andrews Inn, Mango suite is a perfect honeymoon spot. We had our own patio, hot tub, private entrance plus everything the Inn offered. The owner Tom was friendly and George was helpful with night spots to visit and excellent restaurants. If you like cats this is the place as Ernest Hemingways cats hang out at the pool side! Close walking distance to everything, we didnt use our car for 7 days!

Great location, walked everywhere, except when taking trolley bus tour. All staff at the Inn very pleasant and helpful. Would certainly consider staying again if in Key West.
