We stayed at the Poinciana Place for our Honeymoon from Sept 9th-14th. The owner Bruce was great and very pleasant! Everything was well Kept and in good condition and the outside area was beautiful. We stayed in the Garden unit and already plan to come back and rent out the whole house with some friends. If you want a peaceful, laidback, worry free vacation this is the place to go!!!! We loved it!

We just got back from Poinciana Place (July 21-28th, 2007), and have to say we were just stunned with the property! We stayed in the Treetop unit. This was our third time in Key West, and we were celebrating my birthday and our Anniversary (we got married in Key West in 2003). You can't get a decent hotel room, or even Bed And Breakfast for what we paid for our week here ($800/week, + tax, came out to roughly $128 per night total) From the huge hammock, private spa on our balcony, fully appointed kitchen, 2 TV's (living room & bedroom), DVD & CD players, and huge comfy bed to the FREE washer and dryer, everything was just perfect! We walked the first day, and rented bikes just 2 blocks away for the rest of the week. The property is about a block and a half off Duval, right off Petronia. What a great location, as the last time we were in Key West, we stayed near Higgs Beach, and it was a haul to where the action is! We just can't say enough about the property, and the owner Bruce and reservationist Carolyn were so very accomodating. We will plan every trip around the availability of this apartment, because we are surely not ever staying anywhere else on the island!

We could not have been more pleased with the location, cleanliness, parking and ambiance of Poinciana Place. We arrived a bit early and met Bruce the owner as he was leaving from preping the unit for our arrival - nice guy that clearly knows how to run a place like this. He has put together a very compelling package - hottub, the pass to Ft Taylor State Park and Beach was a real treat that we took advantage of several times. He even includes beach towels and chairs to take with you - now where else are you going to find that? Located midway between Mallory Square and the Atlantic a block and a half off of Duval St, you can walk just about anywhere in 15 minutes or so. We did opt to drive to the State Park beach so we could take a cooler and lunch. Would I go back? You bet. We already have both units reserved for Christmas. Can't wait.

We arrived at Poinciana Place to discover a secluded cottage nestled among a lush garden of tropical foliage. Having stayed in Key West several times before, we were ecstatic when we saw the private location situated behind a locked gate. For those of you who have not been to Key West, it is a very dense island and the privacy and space at Poinciana Place are rareties.

The building houses two apartments - one downstairs and one upstairs. Each has their own private entrance, and you really can not hear your neighbors. We stayed in the upstairs apartment - it was well appointed and had everything we needed - especially that hot tub and hammock! The king sized bed was very comfortable and their was plenty of storage space.

Poinciana Place is located on a very private lane, so you do not hear cars or mopeds going by all the time. Add all of the above to a very friendly and accomodating landlord and Poinciana Place gets two thumbs up!!!
