We go to the keys every year and have driven by this lovely place and decided to stay there for a week in the winter month of Feb. When we arrived they were having cocktails by the pool which they do every evening. Everyone was so nice and welcomed us. We are smokers so we wanted a room where we could step outside and smoke and the room they gave us was great! It did get cool one night and they gave us a space heater - there was no heat in the room. It also rained one night and the roof leaked in on our heads, but hey it sure beat the 10 degree weather at home. They had robes in the room and they came in handy as I went down each morning before they had breakfast ready and got coffee to take to our room. The staff was so friendly and really went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The porch had rockers and a swing on it and it was great to people watch and it is far enough away from Duval Street that you do not have the noise. The pool was great too. They even let me peak into other rooms that were not occupied.

Such a relaxing atmosphere with all the amenities we could have wanted. Our rooms were clean and possessed the character an old home offers. Complimentary breakfast each day was delicious and the daily happy hour was not to be missed. Having the pets in the garden by the pool added to the serenity we craved on vacation. With Duval Street only a block away, we could walk to any restaurants and do the Mardi Gras type action if we chose. Dave, the Innkeeper, and all of the staff were most accommodating and courteous. Would definitely return, as the value for the money was superb. Send for the brochure-you'll be impressed.

I vaguely remembered reading about the Cypress House on TripAdvisor, but am not usually a B & B fan, so had originally booked at a chain hotel on the outskirts of town. When we arrived in Key West, there was a "Vacancy" sign hanging, so we took a look, on a whim, booked a room and cancelled the other reservation. The cost of our room was not much more than the chain hotel and we had such a unique experience.

This is a really well-located, well-kept and well-run B & B. As others have mentioned, the entire staff does a great job, efficient and truly friendly, without being fawning. The small courtyard/pool area is a great respite/escape. The Happy Hour/hors d'ouerves time was a delightful surprise. Our room was lovely and comfortable. Yes, there are roosters sounding off in the morning outside.. but that got us going earlier, with more time to have fun! Plus, the breakfasts were delicious, and the courtyard/pool was such a lovely place to take in the morning, I would have been disappointed to have slept in and missed it...

An added bonus, the staff is quite knowledgable about activities in town and can sell discounted tickets as well as advice which outfits are the best ones to patronize,

The Cypress House really doesn't need another rave review so I'll be brief. We arrived by air, taxied to this B&B and stayed 7 nites. Never needed a car, this B&B is within comfortable walking distance to most of the Key West attactions, the waterfront and the Duval Street action. Slept like babies in very comfortable Room #21 (once we were conditioned to expect the occasional free range rooster calls in the morning). What we really enjoyed most was the friendly atmosphere and interaction among the guests during the breakfasts and happy hours out in the open pool house. Beautiful pool side & garden setting. Dave, the host, and his staff can't do enough for the guests.
