Seeking a sunny and friendly break from cold, gray and gloomy New York City, friends and I headed to Key West and The Popular House.

The staff was welcoming, gracious, helpful, and utterly charming. Their restaurant recommendations, great breakfasts and thoughtfulness such as leaving extra blankets out at night for you to grab if you were cold, made our trip.

The location is ideal, close enough to easily hit the sites and best restaurants, yet far enough removed to be quiet and relaxing. Great music and amazing cuban coffee are within a few blocks and a hammock to nap within steps from your room.

The Inn is meticulously maintained and cleaned. Decor and artwork are beautiful and accessible. No chintz or rickety antique furniture.

I highly recommend the Popular House for anyone looking for an authentic slide of Key West.

From the moment we arrived at the B&B for our second vacation, I knew this was going to be way better than I expected. The employees were so kind and friendly. They volunteered really helpful advice. They weren't vague...they were honest. We loved that. They helped us find great restaurants, gave great opinions about our activities... it was awesome. Plus the house is beautiful, comfortable, relaxing, clean and really gave us teh experience of being in one of the large beautiful wood houses of Key West. The breakfast was filling: Fruit, fresh baked breads, bagels, etc. The prices are very appropriate and sharing bathrooms with others is not an issue! Every one was so curious and the bathrooms were always very very clean! We realyl enjoyed our stay and will definitly go back!

Having stayed twice at The Popular House (Key West Bed and Breakfast) on Williams Street in Key West, I can recommend this beautiful, relaxing, colorful place. It is located in the heart of the Old Town of Key West, but only a few short blocks walk to busy, sometimes loud Duvall Street. Quiet, tree lined streets with one lovely, old "Conch" style house after another--all painted in pretty pastels with gingerbread woodwork and front porches. The breakfast at The Popular House is set in a brightly painted Caribbean colors kitchen--fresh bread and muffins every morning with baskets of beautiful, ripe fruit, coffee and tea which you carry out to the rear patio surrounded with tropical vegetation. You won't want to leave!
