The old saying 'you get what you pay for' is definitely true in this case, and we paid roughly $40 / £20 per night.
Some might call it rustic, but I call it very, very basic. Our room had exposed brick walls, the cold grey kind - not very attractive. The floor throughout was the school toilets kind. The wardrobe consisted of a rusty bar attached to the wall and the fan hung from the ceiling from a rusty chain and the curtains had holes in. There were only two lamps in this room, so it was very dark and dingy. A bit like a prison cell almost. You could also hear everything going on in the next door room - and I mean everything!
However, it was clean and the staff were friendly.
There was a good bar serving OK food behind the motel park, which overlooked the bay. Good for breakfast as well. It was at it's busiest at sundown - a beautiful sight. Bizarrely, it closed at around 10pm. As there was nothing else within walking distance that left us a bit bored in the evenings.
