We stayed at Key Lantern for only one night, which was just as well, since the mattresses sagged in the middle, and we didn't sleep well.
Our room had two double beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, a large table with four chairs, two armchairs, a closet and some drawer space, There was no phone, clock, or safe. The small TV received at least 50 cable channels (not that there was anything good to watch, but that wasn't the motel's fault).
The kitchen area had a small range and oven, full-size refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, etc. There was no microwave.
The bathroom had a huge shower, but the towels were small and very thin. (The bath towels were no bigger than the hand towels.) No toiletries were provided aside from 11 miniscule bars of soap.
There is a coin laundry on the premises.
Some of the rooms face a trailer park, which might get noisy at times, though we didn't experience that problem.
Although the motel has an Internet site, you need to call to make a reservation. When reserving a room, you aren't asked for a credit card number or other guarantees, and you aren't given a confirmation number. We were nervous about this, but they did have our reservation when we arrived. When I called, I was quoted a rate of $65 (plus tax), but when we checked in we were told that the rate was $68. The difference isn't much, but we were a bit annoyed.
If a low price is your main objective, Key Lantern is the place to stay.
