We just came back from a quick get away. Last Sunday we went to Isla Morada, Florida for the day and we found Annie's Beach. It is a small little beach on the side of the road off of mile marker 73. There are about six parking spaces only on the South side of the beach. The water is crystal clear and waist high. You can see the small fish go by. You also have a diversity of birds around you. Next to the monument which states Annie's Beach, you will find a board-walk which leads you through the mangroves along the bay area. As you walk along the board-walk, you will fine small huts branching off to the sides. Each hut except (2) of them are along side the beach with its own steps leading you to the shore. You have a picnic table, (2) trash cans and a great view. Other then wading, swimming, bird watching and a nature walk, you can always go fishing. Once you finish walking the board walk you find the other side of Annie's Beach the North side which has more parking spaces along the shore and public restrooms. If you ever want to get away and relax, Annie's Beach is the perfect spot. Enjoy!
