Coolest place for a dollar. Kids loved it. Kept going back to get more buckets of fish. Watch those pelicans!
Great place if you have kids. It's very inexpensive and the kids could easliy spend an hour feeding the tarpon. Beautiful location right off the highway. You don't want to pass this place by. The staff was very friendly.
First of all... the tarpon most certainly are not in a pen. They are wild and free to come and go as they please. We initially just paid to go on the dock and watch, but we then went back and bought a couple buckets of fish. It is so much fun to try different ways of feeding the tarpon, try throwing the fish far out or up high in the air to see what happens. The birds are just as fun to watch as the tarpon. This is definately a unique attraction that you really must check out!
We stopped at Robbie's last week on our way down to Key West and paid the dollar to get onto the docks but didn't buy any fish. This was so fun! For our dollar admission we got to watch a woman try to feed the tarpon. The first fish she held out got snatched away by a seagull, the second by a pelican. Then she finally lay down on her stomach and dangled the fish but always got so freaked out that she'd just drop the fish. We all egged her on, cheered and laughed so hard we cried. When we were there I was probably the youngest person-and I'm 37-and my Mom who is 71 was probably the older end of the spectrum and we all had a great time so this is definitely something to see even if you are traveling without kids. 100% a must do!
