“Run down”

We were told about the place by another motel who didn't have a room available. What a mistake. It was run-down, shabby, the
pillows smelled like Vicks, overrun by mosquitoes, broken boards in the walkways, terrible run-down bathroom, terrible air conditioning unit which hardly helped. Would caution anyone against staying there. Also, was overpriced for the condition of the place. Definitely would rather sleep in the car.
