This was our first meal upon arriving for 10 days in the keys and was one of the most memorable!! The food was excellent, ahi tuna to die for!!! We sat right down on beach, unbeleivable view! Felt more carribean like than florida! Waiter was awesome, even reported that to management!
Live music! Would have returned had we had enough time!!
Should be ranked much higher!!

We went on a Monday night. Not crowded. I had the crab cakes, (good), and the Japanese green beans (Yum) The outside dining atmosphere in the tent was nice as it was a warm Keys night at sunset. It is very casual with port a potties for restrooms. (albeit, clean ones) Other entrees at our table were Catch of the day, (great); Rib steak(fantastic); stone crab apetizer(Awesome,but very expensive- 2 for $17- bit much) And yes, the bus boy is grabby and took my husbands plate before he was done. Seeing this, I was ready and stopped him before he took mine. Eating out in the Keys was an eye opener. The tourist really gets shafted. $120 for 2 adults and a child is pricey in my book. However, it was a special night for all at our table, and overall the food was good and plentiful.

We stopped in the Island Grill for a few drinks and appetizers late one afternoon. The food was fantastic. The drinks were decent....nothing extremely special but not bad. The view was great. We received wonderful service seated in the bar...at first. We ordered a round of 8 or 9 dollar frou-frou drinks. However, once we received our food and one more drink, our waitress never came back. She was seated a few tables away counting cash. Another server came to bring our bill. It was expensive for just a couple drinks and a couple appetizers, but it wasn't the cost that bothered us. After paying, we left thirsty without being given the chance to order a water, tea or anything else.

The Island Grill was our third dinner out after arriving in Florida, and it was definitely the best we've had so far. I ordered the Aha Tuna Salad, which came as grilled tuna on on a bed of seaweed with wasabi. It was absolutely outstanding. The server was friendly and offered plenty of recommendations. He forgot our conch soup order, but that was no problem as we ended up having enough food as it was. We're trying to decide where to go tonight and feel we should try someplace, but given how good the food was we're tempted just to go here a second time!
