This was the last hotel on our two week trip through South Florida, and we didn't expect any magic really, just a pool to spend the day at and a bed to spend the night in. It was perfectly fine except for one small thing - the whole place was crowded by Iguanas (and they weren't so small!!!).
We arrived at the hotel early and the staff were very kind to accomodate us, we parked the car and set off to the pool. By the pool is a sign saying that there are cats and iguanas at the hotel "please be kind to them as they're our pets". We thought this was quite sweet until a HUGE iguana entered the pool area and proceeded to relieve itself at the poolside, at this point we took our things and ran. I'm sure Iguanas are quite harmless and wouldn't have got in our way of enjoying ourselves, however, when you are as petrified of reptiles as we are and also no nothing of an iguanas behaviour it was quite scary.
The rooms were ok, pretty standard for a motel. The area isn't very nice and there wasn't much to do, we couldn't find a good beach either which was quite disappointing on our last day. But we laughed about it and it's a fun story to tell.
If you're like us just looking for a pit-stop this is perfectly decent.
