We found this place on the Marathon Chamber of Commerce. We should have known that the lower rates were too good too be true. This place is far from a "resort" as they claim. The rooms are very outdated and not very clean. The kitchen had years of grease build up. The units are small and we had a one bedroom and there was a window A/C unit in there to cool the whole unit. The window that the unit was in would not close and it was very noisy. We were freezing in the bedroom and hot in the living/kitchen area. We had plumbing problems with our toilet (overflowed) and the shower would not drain. The owners were quick to try to resolve the problem but were not SANITARY nor successful!

The grounds were beautiful and well kept and the pool is small but was clean and refreshing. We brought our boat and felt safe leaving it all week in the water with our gear on it. There are grills on the property for use but the one assigned to our room was so filthy it was beyond use. Speaking to other guests that were staying there they too were very disappointed and said the website is misleading.

We would never stay at this place again and would not recommend it to anyone. In the Marathon area we have found that renting a private house is the best way to go for cleaniness and good rate.

This is a small, compact yet serene and quiet resort. It's basically an affordable motel, with a private spot on the bay side, a nice pool, grills, and several free-use boats to float out on your seemingly own private bay. Be sure to take a kayak out during the day and go 1000 feet east to the dolphin research center. Compared to what else is affordable along the Keys, this place ranks near the top.
