Paid for room through Expedia but when I got there they added an extra charge called a resort fee. It is small but seemed a bit odd. The clerk said it was for the use of the facilities. My family and I showed up at midnight since the trip takes us about 12 hours to get there and we were still charged the fee for that day.

Their free internet costs a flat fee of 5 dollars and then a per minute charge is charged on your credit card.

The continental breakfast is the WORST I have ever given. We have stayed at some raunchy hotels before and their breakfast was a LOT better than what this Howard Johnson was serving! Then they wanted 7.99 for their breakfast buffet which consisted of maybe five items. Do yourself a favor and go to the Ponderosa for their 3.99 breakfast bar. It is very good!

From Lancashire England. Stayed in this Motel for 2 weeks from 20th Sept 2007. It was a perfect base for visiting all the Disney parks. The room was very clean and also liked the small kitchen area. The pool was perfect for us on the odd occasion we used it,their was no one else their. Would definately stay here again.

we have stayed in this hotel back in 2001 and in 2005 must admit had no problems with it atall,found it to be clean,and the ladies that come around every morning to be most attentive, at most times because we stayed in it for 2 weeks in 2001 no bugs atall, cant understand the reviews cos believe me i would not have liked to have seen bugs atall would not have stayed for one minute if i would have seen one, also our 2005 visit we stayed for 1 night after that we toured south florida, my son left a pair of expensive boots behind, we contacted this hotel , a week later after our trip and they had still got them stored in there lost property, so how good is that i say this hotel needs recommending also for the staff on the front desk most nice people to greet you after a long flight and drive, dont give this hotel a bad rewiew , i loved it

We (family of 5) stay here on our last 3 nights of a 10 day trip. Read the reviews before booking and was looking for a run down jacked up hotel with bugs running in and out of our room at will. So I wasn’t happy about going there. But trying to stay in our budget I agreed to go. The room was clean, we even asked for a extra room (after getting there) that connected so everyone could completely relax. Was a light odor got some febreze killed that problem we left our A/C on so I understand the moisture in the room. I saw 3 bugs (spider, beetle, fly No roaches ). Had fresh clean towels and made up beds everyday. Hotel has a used look and feel. Really didn’t see staff but wasn’t there to hang out with them we came for Disney. This hotels has a lot of rooms so I can only speak for 1304 - 1306 in building 1. Would stay again because of price and close to Disney and restaurants.
Restaurants in walking distant and kids meals were discounted for staying here, so that was good!
Sorry no horror story!
P.S. Saw people leaving their doors open which might account for bugs in room.
