Decided to try this restaurant as we are always looking for good value and food. We ordered the following:
HOT ANTIPASTO FOR TWO
Stuffed mushrooms, eggplant rollantini, roasted
peppers, shrimp scampi, and clams casino
The only thing redeeming was the shrimp as they were cooked properly and tasted good. The whole dish was served barely lukewarm and the 4 clams served were less than the size of a quarter. There were no roasted peppers.
The next dish was the following:
Half margherita with calamata olives
and half calzone with ricotta, mozzarella,
crumbled sausage and roasted peppers
This was a disaster as there was no tomatoes or basil on the Margherita section and the crumbled sausage was actually thin slices of what appeared to be Gyro meat. This dish was also served lukewarm. The calamata olives were overpowering.
There were 4 other people in the restaurant when we were seated which was if you can believe this at the kitchen entrance, the rear exit to the patio bar and adjacent to the women's restroom.
The manager did remove the Mezza Luna dish without our asking. Our Server was excellent and received 20% on the total bill including the Mezza Luna.
The wine was reasonable priced. $20 for 750 ml of a FoxBrooke Merlot,
