WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!. After we arrived, we were told the hotel was full. We booked our room thru Hotels.com and I paid for the room in advance...I showed the manger my confirmation sheet. We arrived at 4:30 pm, the first check in is 3:00. We were told the hotel never got the reservation and they had no keys to give.
For added insult, I had called the day before and was assured we had a non-smoking king bed, since my wife is expecting (5 mos). We waited approx. 2 hrs. at the front desk without a resolution. We left on foot (with our bags) to find another hotel. They made no effort to fix the situation. Nor did they offer to find another hotel or help with the bags.
We could not find another hotel in S. Beach for under $700/nt. We had to return to the Boulevard to get our rental car ($22 parking which they didn't even offer to refund). The same manager was behind the desk. As we were waiting for our car, she checked-in 2 guests in front of us. I was appalled! She had lied to our faces about having no rooms and ignored my confirmation sheet which showed I had paid for a room a few months ago.
I confronted the manager about lying, just as our car was brought out front of the hotel. I told her we would sue for the difference in our airport hotel. She then followed my wife and I to the street (in the middle of Ocean Blvd.) and threatened to pepper spray my pregnant wife. She shouted multiple obscenities at the top of her lungs. She never showed pepper spray, but the threat was enough.
DO NOT ASSUME THE PRICE IS WORTH IT. If you don't want the same awful experience, PLEASE choose somewhere else.
