We were in New Smyrna Beach for vacation June 6-12. Again we visited Breakers and it was better than last time. We decided to go for what we thought was an late lunch so it wouldn't be crowded. The parking lot told us differently. They do have a parking attendant to help you get in and out of the tight parking spaces. There were 6 of us and there no tables available. We were really surprised and also felt like we didn't know where to wait. But, within a minute a table opened up and even though we couldn't sit together, some other people let us know they were leaving so my daughter and Mother-in-Law could get another table. We were informed that there was a party of 45 and that's why it was packed. Our waitress was sweet and quick as she could be. We ordered the nachos that were really good. We didn't get immediate refills on drinks, but it was because our poor waitress had so many to wait on. Once our food came it was all great. My hubby & I got the NSB burger. I must say this is the best burger I have ever had! It's like a Philly cheesesteak burger. Provolone cheese, mushrooms, onions & peppers. Cooked perfectly and so hot that I could hardly pick it up for quite a while after I got it. The fries were just perfect too. My son got the crabcake sandwich and loved it. My other son and daughter got the Mahi fish sandwich with cajun seasoning and loved it. We didn't get oceanfront seats like before, but it didn't matter with all of the ceiling fans going. Plus you can see the ocean from any window. After the crowd cleared out I wanted to ask about getting a Breakers shirt. I really like the shirts the waitresses wore and asked if I could buy one. They took me back to a closet and showed me all the different colors I could choose. It was $13.00. It's a fitted shirt, so I like it a lot more than a regular t-shirt. My husband bought 2 t-shirts and one of them was half priced. Our shirts cost about $40. Our food bill was $88 for 6 of us, this included food, soft drinks, an appetizer and a beer. We loved it so much we went back on Friday. If you get a chance to go to New Smyrna Beach, Breakers is a must do. It's oceanfront, bar atmosphere, but family friendly with great food.
