Room was large and clean.Bath room was big. Room was clean, good selection on tv and free wifi in room. Draw back free breakfast was a joke.All 3 morning there was on oj or apple juice, and just powered doughnuts. There's a CrackerBarrel near by also Wendys,Burgerking. Universal Studio is about 1 mile away.

We stayed here 1 night, Nov. 30, 2007. The rooms are outdated, stink, uncomfortable bed (we could feel the springs), luke warm shower with hardly any water pressure. There were 2 good things about this hotel. The manager at the front desk kindly gave us a different room that did not smell quite so bad & the complimentary breakfast was very good with good selection.

Spent 3 nights at this hotel in October 07. Have stayed at this hotel chain before without incidence. This time at this hotel however the room was a non-smoking room and my request to be put away from any pet areas was supposed to be done but people checked in with dogs right next to me and it barked all the time and I was told that there is no where to move me or them so I had to live with it. The room we were in smelled of wet dog the entire time I was there and there was nothing they could do about it. Other guests told us that they had been there a week and their room had not been made the entire time they were there. All in all it was not a great experience there and we were very disappointed. The staff was good but the room and the smell, and barking dogs were not. I am sorry but one does not outweigh the other! We will try the other La Quinta in the area next time. Stayed here twice, once in 2006 and then July 2007. I stayed there the second time because it was close to the Holy Land Experience and it was a "known" quantity. I don't like staying places I don't know about firsthand. The pool was nice this time and the last. Pool is clean and the pool area well kept.
The hallways do smell bad...and the rooms smell musty. The room itself seemed fairly clean, but agree that the tub needed better cleaning.We all wear shower shoes in the tub and spray everything down with Lysol.
I held up a towel for my husband to see...it was FULL of HUGE holes and had black streaks all over it. This should never have made it to a room and is a far cry for what we had grown used to at the Grand Floridian. But the staff is nice and very helpful. The continental breakfast is adequate...waffles that you make yourself, muffins/danish/dougnuts, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, potatoes, biscuits and sausage, juices and coffee. And it is of course, free. Laundry faciliites worked fine for me both times I stayed there. I only paid $60 or so the first stay and about $30 the second (I used an Expedia coupon). I do expect more for the money in the way of better towels and better smelling/looking rooms, but these days $60 doesn't buy much.
