My wife and I stayed here the first weekend in November. I needed to see a client, then we spent the rest of the time at WDW.
This Hotel is located in the "Village" that area of hotels across from downtown Disney that was developed by other than Disney. My client told me this was a great hotel and we used some code he gave me to get a great rate. It was a great rate, 99 per night with a great breakfast that my wife skipped each day.
This Hotel is a convention style hotel that knows how to also accomodate tourists and children. There were at least two confences going on but that did not affect our enjoyment. It is well organized with an efficient well trained staff that know what it is doing. There is alway fresh fruit out for guests about the hotel.
All of the amenities were as listed on the site. Our room was on a lower floor and was very well appointed, flat screen tv, clean, and comfy. My wife insists on a clean room and she was very pleased.
We did have one problem and that was the door was so hard to open from the inside we thougth we were locked in and had to call for help. It came quickly. (A child or an infirmend person could not open this door, but this was probably a quirk of this room now fixed, and had we wanted a new room we are sure we would have been given one, it did not affect our stay).
Busses take you from the hotel to the various parks are supplied by Mearns Transport which had great drivers. Busses run every half hour. You can walk from the hotel to Downtown Disney.
The only thing I wish the hotel was a shuttle to run guests up to the end of the street (out of park) where there are stores. My wife needed a brush and we walked to the grocery store to get it. We are walkers so it was fine for us, but it would be nice. (it's not worth a cab ride for the less than a mile)
We will definately go back to the hotel. I did not get a chance to use the fitness center, steam or pool due to time limitations but saw them and they were all very nice.
We originially were going to stay in a Disney hotel. We have been to WDW several times but never stayed in a Disney property and were about to stay at the New Orleans or what ever the name is. I can honestly say that I am glad we didn't. The value, convenience, and wonderful staff could not be surpased.
