If Disney were honest in the advertisment of this hotel it might read like this:
Disney Presents the Caribbean Beach Resort
How about a tiny room with two small, yet very lumpy double beds with an even smaller bathroom (you will enjoy being just barely able to turn around in the shower if you are average sized), poor lighting, and a tv, soap, an ounce of shampoo and kleenex as your amenities? Think late model Holiday Inn... or Red Roof Inn.
Visitors should look forward to a LONG (nearly 30 minutes) check in process followed by no offer of bell service to assist you with your luggage. BTW, there's no food in the Lobby, you'll be told to take a bus.
Parents of young children can look forward to a two bus stop ride (after waiting at least 10 minutes for a bus) to a food court by the fun pool (they have other pools, but if your kids like other kids- or slides, or lifeguards, they can forget the quiet pools)OR a quarter mile walk to get breakfast, coffee, a snack... anything.
Visitors can enjoy no elevators.
Visitors can drag their tired and crying kids home late at night off the bus, knowing it's still a 2 block walk to the room (we were in Barbados- all the buildings are in compound groups- 3-4 buildings to a compound... about 6 compounds- think Community College Campus).
At anytime of day or night, one can be awoken to the not so soft sounds of busses and trucks driving by the door.
One morning we waited 45 minutes for a bus (with a Disney service person "calling" to find out where the bus is) to Animal Kingdom.
To be fair, this is a "Disney Moderate," although I'd hate to see what a basic is...
Positives??? The hot water was VERY hot in the shower (once they came and fixed the shower head). There are "hidden Mickeys" in the bedspread and shower curtains. There's a coffee maker (with baaaaaddd coffee) and a fridge in the room.
All this for $195/night! No Thanks! No Disney Magic Here!
