Wasnt really expecting much in this hotel, but we were pleasantly suprised.
It was absolutely spotless, looked really good, and the staff never stopped cleaning it. Nice smell. Your room only gets cleaned once a week, unless you wanted it done more, but there is a small charge for this, like $3 for it. You empty your own trash in between cleans. The room has a really great sized fridge and freezer, dish washer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker, a full size cooker/oven. Only problem is you didnt get enough pots pans, plates cutlery etc. I suppose you could ask for more at reception, they were very accomodating and helpful.
If you needed more towels, you just bagged your used towels took them to reception and got a clean set no bother. Breakfast was free, but very limited, coffee, tea, bagels, some fruit, thats about it.
Also had a small Gym. Pool was great, not a siezed pool, but clean and well heated. Although at times it was rather noisy, when large coachs parked along the road parralel to the pool, with the engine running and full AC on, was like sitting next to a jet plane. No ice machines either, which was a little dissapointing. Good washing machines and dryers, very reasonably priced to used, fast an efficient. No onsite restaurant, but that didnt matter, plenty of eateries all around the hotel, special mention to Golden Coral, it was great food and great value.
Free parking, and unbelievably close to Universal Studios, with all green lights about 3 minutes away from park entrance. You could go to the park, take a break and go back later when it was cooler, very easy and handy. It was also placed at the northern end of I-Drive, close by the Prime Outlet, formerly the site of the old Belz factory outlet.
Also the I-Trolley bus drives right by the hotel going to I-drive.
Overall good clean hotel, well placed.
