“Great Location, Great Value, Very Accomodating”

St. George Inn

Had an enjoyable one night stay at the St George Inn on Feb. 20, 2006. We chose the Santa Maria room type (there are a number of rooms of this type). The room was very pleasant and clean. The view from the balcony was great. It was very convenient to the historical district. The owners were very accomodating for a late check-out. We would definately stay here again.

The St. George Inn is fantastic! We stayed in one of the Santa Maria rooms while on vacation. The staff was friendly and helpful, assisting us with a late check-in and walking us to our room. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The best parts were the location and view from our balcony. We could walk everywhere as the Inn is right in the main historical area off St. George Street. And the views from our balcony of the Castillo and the City Gate...just incredible. The courtyard area is beautiful, too. A great place to sit for the complimantary continental breakfast.
We highly recommend the St. George Inn!

The St. George Inn is located right on St. George St. Right in the middle of the historical area and shopping. The staff goes overboard to make their guests welcome and comfortable. The rooms are beautifully furnished and immaculate. Breakfast includes a variety of breads, muffins, coissants and beverages. Coffee is always available. Your balcony may overlook the courtyard and fort. It's the perfect retreat at the end of a wonderful day in St. Augustine. We thoroughly enjoyed our three days and look forward to going back.

We stayed at the St George based on recommendations from this site and loved it! The location is perfect- we loved being able to walk to everything. We had one of the suites in the new building- which was very quaint and beautifully decorated. Our kids loved the spiral staircase up to the bedroom. It was directly across from the Fort- the view was great. The only complaint we had was the noise from the bar/restaurant (Grist Mill?) below. It did get a little rowdy at night.
Are planning another visit to St Augustine in April and will stay there again- but will try a different building.

“Most amazing stay!!!”

St. George Inn

For my first vacation with my boyfriend I happened upon the St. George Inn via this very website. The reviews looked good and the price was excellent. I booked a pinta room for two nights, along with the "Ghostly Getaway" package (included a walking ghost tour and a trolley pass).

When we arrived there was staff ready to great us. Our room was ready around noon so we were able to check-in immediately. Our luggage was carried to our room, right above a wonderful smelling coffee shop and off a marvelous little courtyard. The room had a shared balcony overlooking a garden behind the Oldest School house (the garden was not much to look at, but the music being played in it was very relaxing).

The room was nicely decorated, and the bed very comfy. When we first arrived it was evident the A/C hadn't been on for awhile and the room was a bit stuffy. When we turned it on it smelled a little funky, but it wasn't something that would clear a room.

The first night I realized our bathroom had a sugar ant problem. When I alerted the management they quickly switched us to a Santa Maria room. Also very nice, a bit larger, with a shared balcony overlooked the beginning of St. George St. I must say I liked the layout of the Pinta better as it had the separate bathroom and vanity areas around the corner from the sleeping area, and the Santa Maria room had it so where if you sat on the toilet with the door open you'd look onto the bed (which idk why you would do that, but that's not relevant, lol). IDK why but it just made me like the Pinta better.

I will say that i don't really believe the package was worth it. The ghost tour was alright, but it was a little disapponting walking around to all these places but not actually being able to go INSIDE any of them. It was a little hokey, but my boyfriend enjoyed it and I was mildly amused.

We didn't eat the continental breakfast, which consisted of bagels, bread (not just white bread, all different varieties), and crossants, as well as juice and coffee and tea. It looked good but we were trying to eat at as many local places as possible.

All and all the stay was great, the room was comfortable, and the service was great. Well worth a look. I would definately stay there again.
