Stayed at The Days Inn Historic on December 4, 2004. I had a room with a king size bed that was just fine for me (not too hard or too soft). This Days Inn has been here quite a while. The window in the room is not insulated and does not seal very well, therefore anyone talking outside might as well be in your room. Fortunately there was no one talking outside my room during the night. The walls between the rooms seem to be soild, but you could hear water going thru the pipes from another bathroom. Closing the bathroom door helps a little.
The restaurant is only open for breakfast and has the basic breakfast items on it. It's also one where you have to seat yourself.
Overall for the price I paid ($53 with tax, internet special) it was alright. However if there ever is a next time, I will pay some more money and stay at something a little better and closer to the historic district.

This hotel is very clean, comfortable, convenient, and the staff is exceptional. It has beautiful grounds and if you are traveling with a pet this is a great place to stay. Our vacation to Saint Augustine this spring started off terrible due to the first hotel we stayed at. We stayed only one night at the Ramada Inn Historic and ran for our lives the next morning. Thank goodness Days Inn had vacancy. We would stay at this lodging again without hesitation. It was great. One other tip for your vacation: The staff at this hotel recommended a wonderful restaurant named Schooner's that I would suggest trying. The food is delicious and the price is great.

Stayed at this large motel Thanksgiving weekend. PROS : Cheap, clean.
CONS : Dated decor and cheap furnishings. Evident wear & tear in room e.g. splintered bathroom door,ripped lamp shade. 70's style TV with limited channels. No in room coffee maker and plastic cups not replaced. A fair hike to town centre - NOT for the infirm! Plenty of nicer looking accomodation nearer town - chain motels so probably similar prices. Wouldn't stay there again.
