Just a few quick lines to say about this lovely little gem! Dave, the owner is wonderful. Hw not only took the time to recommend places to eat and see but also gave a suggestion on an authentic british pub called the Cockney Rebel just across the street down 2 blocks. We made friends with the owners and will keep in touch.

They keep the rooms exceptionally clean and just ask for clean towls if needed! They are there to please you. Very quaint & homey atmosphere. Nice just right temp. pool and it's heated in the winter. All places come with everything in the kitchen to the pretty decor throughout the apartment. The prices are even better.

Philthy Phils is a must. Beautiful view, great people, good food & drinks. Woodys next door to Phils doesn't accept credit cards! Cash only! Unheard of but they don't. So be prepared. Everything is pretty much in walking distance so your not drinking & driving and the trolley is always available for 3.50 per day all day pass. So worth it.

My husband and I just returned from our third trip to St Pete's Beach. Each time we stayed at the Gulf Tides Inn. The first year was only 9 days, the second year was 14 days and this year we spent 22 days. We would have stayed longer but there was no room at the Inn.
The owners, Dave and Adele are very helpful. They always have great suggestions for places to eat and places to go.
As other reviewers have mentioned, you don't need a car once you arrive, everything including the beach is within walking distance. You can walk to a food store, drug store, restaurants, ice cream store and the tourist information. Be sure to walk to Corey Avenue and visit the cute stores. There is a great old movie theather that has both cult movies and current releases on Corey Avenue.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bed is very comfortable. The bedding is attractive. We stayed in the studio apartment. The kitchen is adequate. The seating in the kitchen area is awkward due to the fact the stools are too high for the counter top. But since we usually ate outside, this did not concern us too much.
My only complaint is the lack of reading light for the seating area.
Everyone is very friendly. We have made life long friends with the other guests. We are booked again for next year.

This was our second trip to St. Pete Beach. Both times we stayed at the Gulf Tides Inn. Fabulous place to stay. The rooms, pool, and service are EXCELLENT. We will be returning again and staying at the Gulf Tides Inn summer 2008. The owners Dave and Adele are great. I really cannot say enough about the Gulf Tides Inn. Very pleased.

Diane and I were very pleased with our stay at Gulf Tides Inn this past December. The location, off Gulf Blvd and across from Blind Pass Road, on 68th St was great. You really don't have to get back into your car once you arrive here. A lot within walking or bicycling distance. The apartment was very nice, clean, bright and spacious. A little heads up for the girls, bring a hair dryer and toiletries. The pool was great, a comfortable 82 degrees. Dave, the owner, was very accessible and helpful with St. Pete Beach info. Thanks Dave.
This is a nice, quite and comfortable accommodation for anyone looking to relax. Make sure to stop in at the Blue Parrot and say hi. Real nice people and good food. Check out the Brass Monkey down in Pass-a-grill for dinner. If I was to return to St. Pete Beach, I'd definitely stay at Gulf Tides Inn.

This charming inn cannot be adequately described . . . you HAVE to visit Dave and Adele (and darling Olivia)! The Intimate size (only 10 apartments!) and personal attention is unbelievable in this day and age. (you'll get to know Dave on a first name basis!) The rooms are nice sized - with two full sized beds in the bedroom and a foldout queen in the parlor. The kitchen is great for fixing meals- and you can eat poolside if you want! You're only 2 blocks off the beach and if you want beachchairs, Dave will loan you some from the office! Dave stocks the apartments with PLENTY of towels, but you might want to tuck in some extra large, super soft beach towels before you come. Or you can stroll down to the "Beaches" shop (2 blocks) and purchase a few. The best of all is the personal advice you get from Dave on restaurants and attractions. He and Adele have visited the ones they recommend so HE KNOWS! Dave stays booked up by repeat clients - so call early and get on the waiting list in case someone cancels. You won't regret it!
