Stayed here for 3 nights in May, everything was great. Easy to find, easy check in and great apartments. My wife thought they were like a row of little cottages. Large living room and kitchen (well fitted out) and very large bedroom. Everywhere was extremely clean. All front doors lead onto pool area which is spacious and has a BBQ.
Location is also excellent, literally a 3 or 4min walk to the beach.
And what a beautiful beach, long, white sand and very very clean.
Lot of bars and restaurants nearby and easy access to other beaches, right up to Clearwater.
The owners couldn`t have been nicer or more friendly.
Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We stayed at the Gulf Tides Inn for 2 nights and can't wait to go back next year! The 1 bed efficiency room was perfect, and included a kitchen with a full refrig, microwave and oven. There was also a propane grill outside that was available for all guests to use.
Dave and Adele were wonderful. Dave gives great advice on the local restaurants...we tried a couple that he recommended and were very pleased. They also let guests borrow beach chairs to use at the beach, which was really nice and saves $.
One block walk to the beach, stores, and restaurants. What more could you ask for??
The Inn was extremely clean (inside and out) and quiet. The pool was also very clean and just the right temperature.
I've stayed in 2 other motels/inns while visiting St. Pete Beach, and none are anywhere near as nice as this.
Thanks again, Dave and Adele for everything!

The one-bedroom apartment was very clean and spacious. It really felt like home rather than a hotel/motel, as people hang out and eat out in the pool area giving it a sense of community. As others have mentioned, the owners are super nice and friendly and they always have recommendations for lunch or dinner. The location is perfect as you can walk anywhere you need to, from the beach to the store or restaurants. They will loan you beach chairs, towels and umbrellas if needed. And the place is quiet and restful. The only negatives I could find were: no toilettries (bring your own), very poor wi-fi signal, and not-so-comfortable mattress. But it is a great place to get away, enjoy the beach, and relax while feeling like at home.

We just got back from a week long stay at the Gulf Tides Inn. The owners are really as nice as everyone else has noted on previous reviews. The place is small and homey. We would go to the Body Dynamix gym every morning, which is a short 5 min. drive away, to the beach, and then come back for lunch and lay at the pool. The walk to the beach is very short. The location of the Inn is great - you don't have to cross any major roads to walk to the beach and leaving by car, there is a traffic light so you don't have to try to cross the 4 lane road.

There are a ton of eats within walking distance. Scoops ice cream is right around the corner and is very good, but expensive. The Reef right in front of the Inn has nightly specials - we ate there Wed for 1 lb steamed shrimp for $6.25.

As far as the room goes - we got the 1BR efficiency, and for what we paid a night, we had no complaints. Adequate kitchen, but the bar area is hard to eat at with the stools provided. Bed is nice, but the bathroom is super small. Everything looks exactly as posted on their website. Luckily they have a little desk area right outside the bathroom we utilitzed to get ready after showering. There is only a small standing shower (hard to shave your legs!), a very little freehanging sink, and a small toilet that you either had to sit on sideways with the door open or close the door to sit on fully. But, again, for the price, it worked well for us. They only gave us fresh towels one time during our week but there is a laundry area if you want to do any wash yourself. We also brought some towels from home and a blanket to lay on at the beach. Ladies, you also need to bring a hairdryer and toiletries as nothing is provided.

The Publix is right down the street and we bought food for breakfast and lunch. Food was priced cheaper than at home, but gas was the same price.

We did rent a car and went to the International Mall in Tampa, the outlets in Ellenton, and the mall in St. Petersburg. A lot of great stores at these places.

We hope to make this trip a yearly event.

Just a few quick lines to say about this lovely little gem! Dave, the owner is wonderful. Hw not only took the time to recommend places to eat and see but also gave a suggestion on an authentic british pub called the Cockney Rebel just across the street down 2 blocks. We made friends with the owners and will keep in touch.

They keep the rooms exceptionally clean and just ask for clean towls if needed! They are there to please you. Very quaint & homey atmosphere. Nice just right temp. pool and it's heated in the winter. All places come with everything in the kitchen to the pretty decor throughout the apartment. The prices are even better.

Philthy Phils is a must. Beautiful view, great people, good food & drinks. Woodys next door to Phils doesn't accept credit cards! Cash only! Unheard of but they don't. So be prepared. Everything is pretty much in walking distance so your not drinking & driving and the trolley is always available for 3.50 per day all day pass. So worth it.
