“Experience of a Life Time”

Well, I do have to say this was quite an experience to say the least. I can't even say we got what we paid for, because we didn't. We paid $75 for 3 extension cords and a dirty floor. The pool was very nice, but we didn't use it. Seems like a family oriented Motel, (The owners family). Needs quite a bit fixing up and a good cleaning. Great location.

“bates inn sister”

The Tides Inn

26 Aug 2007

My husband, his brother and sister-in-law and I stayed over this past week-end. The room we all shared, had very few electrical outlets (only 2 we found, and they were used by extention cords) and most everything including the air conditioner and television was plugged into with the extention cords. The room had a foul oder, and there was some pretty strange looking people there ( i believe some family members of the owner and some construction workers) all in all we were not only dissatisfied, but it was pretty frighting. the room was not real clean and one of the beds had a sheet with a bood stain on it. I would never stay there again!

We stay at the Tides Inn on June 24th 2006. This motel is really old. They have weekly rates and wierd people hanging around the place. The pool is nice but the rooms are really worn out. The fridge missed its handle and was all rusty, the AC smells bad and we had to get on our knee to wash our hair. On the bright side, the motel has a good location, minutes away form siesta key, you can even walk there. We payed $75+tax for a single queen. If you decide to go there anyway, ask a room away from the road. This motel is cheap, almost clean and well located but overall, don't expect much.

“We loved our stays at The Tides Inn!”

My wife and I, along with our 16 years old daughter, have visited The Tides Inn 3-4 times. We have always had a great time. The owners are very nice people. They are there when you need them, but away when you don't. The rooms are clean, the pool is beautiful and the grounds are secluded and very big. The Inn is 2 minutes from the Stickney Point Bridge and 3 minutes from Crescent Beach. The price is almost 1/3rd the cost of staying on Siesta Key. Efficiency Apartments are the way to go for us. You get a full kitchen, so instead of going out to eat 3 times a day [spending a fortune] we shop at the local supermarket and fill the fridge. There is a grill for guests to use as well as outside eating areas. We were there for our wedding anniversary and much to our surprise the owners gave us a bottle of wine with their name on the bottle [it was very tasty]. If you want to go out for dinner there are hundreds of great restaurants within a few minutes drive. We have been vacationing in Sarasota for 20 years and if affordability, privacy, and staying close to everything is what you are looking for then the Tides Inn is the place for you. You may contact me for any additional questions you may have. Paul Maginnis 781-834-1036.
