This hotel is nicely decorated and fairly clean in the public areas. The pool area with small hot tub is nice. Fitness Center adequate, but small (one elliptical, one treadmill, one bike, one weird small bike and a few free weights).
The room we had was not a suite, it was a large hotel room that had two double beds, a pull-out sofa and a kitchen. The furnishing were a little better than average quality. The mattress on the pull out was substandard because it was extremely thin (maybe 2" thick); we got another mattress and put it on top of the original. Otherwise, I don't think even a child could count on a good night's rest on the sleeper sofa. Room cleanliness was adequate, not great (I'm very picky on that). It seemed like cleaning between guests could be more thorough. The bathtub drain when we checked in was totally clogged; a maintenance man came and unclogged it that night. Also, our HBO channel on the TV wasn't working, and we received a free movie coupon because of that. This hotel had less available channels (about 20) than the Embassy Suites we stayed in immediately prior to our stay here (had about 30 channels).
The breakfast and reception food is very cheap. You can make a meal at breakfast, but the selection is canned fruit, donuts, cereal, low quality eggs, frozen french toast, etc. In the evenings, Mon. through Thurs. only), the evenings reception is blush or chablis wine, and Bud or Bud light beer. There is a small salad bar, and one hot entree (hot wings on the night we went). So even though food is offered, it depends on your standards as to whether you really want to eat much of it.
The staff was pleasant and accomodated our needs politely.
