I really rarely write any reviews of the hotels that I travel to because I travel so frequently, but this hotel really changes the way that I view "corporate" travel. From the time I walked in the doors of the Hotel Indigo, I truely felt like I was on a vacation rather than a monotonous business trip, like I usually feel. I actually looked forward to getting back to my room day after day of my week long trip. The staff at the desk recognizes me by name each time I venture through the lobby and I felt very comfortable with each of them. The unique colors and sense of relaxation will draw me back to this property each and every time I travel in the Sarasota area. Good job guys, keep up the good work.

Charming is the best way to descripe this hotel in the heart of the downtown area of Sarasota. We loved it here, the staff were so friend and effiecient at everything and has many suggestions of things to do in the area. The dining area for breakfast was like being served in your own home. The rooms are large with wood floors and are really clean. It looks brand new. The bed is comfortable with lots of extra covers and pillows. We loved the shower. It was oversized and refreshing. They have free parking and a garage area that has music. It has nice not to have to pay for parking in a city. We will be back and high recommend .

Checked in on Dec.31st/07 until check-out Jan.2nd/08 .First, I'll start with the positives. The bed was unbelievably comfortable.You could sleep in it forever .The room was very clean and well maintained .The staff was very personable and friendly .The location of the hotel is very good as well. Very close to downtown and major roads .Now the negatives.....The door of the room had a gap of almost 2 inches from the bottom..So when you go to sleep at night the light from the hallway flows into the room, not to mention the noise from other guests walking to/from their rooms .The T.V. in the room is out of date. For the money we spend for a night you'd think the Hotel Managers would put in a modern flat screen or something .The insulation level in the room was not good.You can hear the guests fron the rooms next to you quite easily .Also; when you first open the door to get into the room it hits the open bathroom door very hard because the bathroom door is too large and wide.Wierd .The architect or builder seems to have miscalculated on this point.Would I book into this hotel again? Probably not .Unless of course the Hotel directors do something about the room door and the insulation .Let's see what they do .

This hotel basically is a Holiday Inn with a few extra touches. Nice and very clean but nothing extraordinary. OK, you can walk to the centre, if you really like, but the location itself is very uninspiring, right next to the main road. Friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere, though! But considering the price just good average.
