The blow drier didn't work, the toilet wouldn't flush and backed up into the sink, the sheets didn't fit the bed, they gave us 2 towels for 4 people and then frowned upon us when we asked for more. The refridgerator was filthy. The shower kept going very hot, nearly scalding us in the middle of our shower. The room was so small we kept bumping into each other.

There was a softball tourney going on locally and they had 113 rooms filled with drunk parents/chapperones and rowdy, noisey kids that kept us up until the wee hours of the morning. The police even had to be called at one point. We couldn't use the pool because these people "took over". I swear it was like a zoo all weekend.

The manager did take $30 off the bill for a 3-night stay, but that wasn't enough to compensate for what we dealt with all weekend.

Don't be fooled by the outside it looks nice...if you do decide to stay make sure to check your room first. Let's see where do I start we were given a room in the back of the hotel which the maintence man and housekeeper lived in the room next door they had a baby gate in the front door to keep their dog and toddler in hmmmm. We should have run then however we were exhausted from driving all day. When we opened the door it smelled of urine and smoke as a very large roach skampered across the floor actual garbage in the corners under the bed behind the doors stains on the bedding just disgusting. We went to ask for a different room hoping it was just a room that had not been finished. The front desk clerk was more than rude when asked for a different room as it wasn't acceptable. He said would a king be sufficent my husband said we just would like a clean room the clerk began to raise his voice calling us cheaters scammers and that we were trying to rip him off all awhile his voice got louder he said as you don't like dirty rooms I don't like cheaters. We asked for our money back and went to the Super 8 down the road clean nice simple breakfast for the same price. However in the morning the owner said our credit card wouldn't accept the charges upon calling our creait card company we found Days Inn had blocked our card oh....if that doesn't scare you I'm not sure what will.

Made a trip to Sarasota to watch baseball. This place was good enough. A little grimy, but the staff was helpful. I booked a package deal through Expedia. There are several similar motels within a few blocks of each other. If I was doing it again, I would probably just go door to door looking for the best walk-in special. I think someone checking in before me got a better rate than my Expedia package deal. Free breakfast is an actual hot breakfast served in "Chef Paul's" which is on the property. Two favorite things about this place were 1) two doors down from Barnacle Bill's seafood restaurant and 2) power flush toilets.

My son and I stay here every year when we come south to see the Reds play in Spring Training. We don't spend much time in the hotel--we just need a decent, moderately priced, convenient place to sleep. This motel fills the bill. It's not glamorous, but it's a definite upgrade from the Golden Host "Resort" down the road, where we made the mistake of staying one year. And the best part of the annual experience is breakfast each morning in the hotel's restaurant, where the same cooks and waitstaff serve us delicious food (and call us "honey") every year.

We'll be back again this March.
