This hotel is very sketchy. Unless you are a contractor/construction worker, this is NOT your hotel. Ok, it is a two star hotel and thus accommodations were what were expected, tight living space, smell of stale smoke, but what not expected was the sketchy clientele who loiter around the property, half of which who were intoxicated. Families and women traveling alone, be very careful. I checked out 5 hours after checking in and refused to spend the night.

Drove Right By! That should have been my first clue to keep going. After calling and asking for directions, the person on the other end of the phone was very helpful. I found the place and was not impressed by the room, small, musty and need of remodeling. Nosiy window a/c, right next to the bed. This hotel has seen better days. This place seems to attract alot of construction workers/laborers and other less than professional types. No pool, no frills. The only thing it has going for it is location, close to many destinations and restaurants. Affordable accomodations, but would search for another place to stay next time in Stuart. If you are a woman traveling alone, DO NOT STAY HERE! A female friend of mine staying there was watched and oogled all weekend when returning to her room, one of the derelicts staying there had the nerve to call her room and ask her if she wanted to party!!! Luckily I was in the room next to her to keep an eye out!

After booking my reservations online and printing the map, I thought sure I could find the hotel as it was right on US Hwy 1. I drove right past it not once but twice. The hotel is on US Hwy 1 however it sits back off the highway. There is a sign but it's hidden by another so you don't really see it until you are on top of it.

So I wasn't really happy when I arrived but the staff changed everything. They gave me a nice room that I could park by. And in the morning I was glad that the hotel was off the highway because it was very quiet all night long. I didn't even hear other people coming and going until later in the morning so I was able to get a good night's rest.

Once I knew where to look for the drive, I had no problem finding the hotel the next day on my way back from my meetings. It really is a nice little hotel!!!!!!

I was apprehensive about this hotel when I read the other reviews, but since they were old reviews I called the hotel. A guy named John told me that the hotel was under new ownership and management and that they now offered what he called Deluxe rooms. The rate was great for a weekly rental, so I took a chance.

Wow, was I surprised. The hotel was set back off the highway and really clean. The deluxe room had a very comfy mattress, and nice towels. My husband had the best shower of his traveling career. Also discovered that they are part of Choice Hotels, the people that has the Sleep Inn and Comfort Suites. No wonder they have improved!
