My Family of 3 traveled to Treasure Island this summer & stayed at the Bilmar for 8 nights. It was a nice family friendly hotel for us and our 14 year old daughter. We loved the pool, hot tub, and beach. Our room was great, a little small, but clean & the view was amazing. The common areas could use improvement. It was in a great location and we could leave the car parked most of the time, we walked to Publix for groceries. We rode the Suncoast Trolly to John’s Pass & up the coast to Clearwater to watch the sunset at Pier 60. Take the Ferry to Caladesi Island, we hit the sea shell jack pot! Stop at the Honeymoon island Beach too, it is even better than the island. Go to Fort DeSoto, it was the best beach! We even traveled over to Orlando for the day & went to Disney’s Blizzard Beach. It was a great time! Sloppy Joe’s, GiGi’s, Friendly Fisherman, and Original’s Pizza were all great restaurants. Get the grouper wherever you go, it’s great. Walk to Sno Balls for snow cones, and there is ice cream available across the street too. Good times!

Convenient to shopping and dining. Lovely beach and nice for beach walking. The staff was understanding and easy to work with especially sense I was there for spring break. The maid service could have been better. Had a relatives family visit for a day and 4 year old left finger prints on glass doors. They were there my entire visit. Planning another stay there in 2010.

Our family and friends spent 3 wonderful days (6/19-6/21) at the Bilmar for my daughter's wedding. The wedding was attended by 100 friends and family. Nearly 80 of them spent at least 1 night at the Bilmar. When we arrived at 10:00 am, Mary, the banquet director, met with us and allowed us to use the banquet hall to store our luggage and many boxes of items for the wedding. Within the hour our room was ready. Many friends and family arrived well before the 3:00 pm check-in time and the hotel's staff worked quickly to get everyone in their rooms.

My daughter's wedding ceremony was held on the beach with the reception immediately following in the banquet hall. Denise, the banquet captain, was invaluable with her assistance in setting up a beautiful banquet room as well as putting out the palm fans and decorations we provided for each chair on the beach.

The reception was one of the best I've ever attended. The food, filet mignon, peacan encrusted mahi mahi and stuffed chicken breast, was excellent! Denise, personally served each meal as her staff quickly brought it out into the room. Nearly everyone made a point to mention how great the food was!

My personal thanks goes out to all of the staff at the Bilmar for helping to make my daughter's wedding the most satifying and memorable event of my life.

I have stayed in this hotel no less than 6 times within the last year. Everytime we stay, the service, attitude and overall "feel" of the hotel is wonderful. If there are any issues with any of the rooms, the staff will not hesitate to make it right, whatever it takes. If there is a downside at all its in the parking availability onsite. There is additional parking across the street, so not really a major issue. The food in both Sloppy Joes and Bazzies is wonderful. We especially enjoy the homemade mozzerella sticks! 1 is all you need to eat. We get to the area as often as possible, and we refuse to stay anywhere else now.
