Check the rates before you check in. I am a travel agent and booked my clients in a 2 bedroom, ocean front suite and requested an upper floor. After the arrived they talked to the front desk after discovering that other guests were paying much less that they were. The front desk was unresponsive. When they called me, I called the manager and explained what the client had told me. He said he would call me back. He didn't call back until the clients went to his office. He said they had lowered the rates, but he was unwilling to give my client the new rate. He did lower the rate by $200 per night, but it should have lowered $400 per night to meet the going rate. The hotel is definitely not 5 star. The staff is very inexperienced. You have to keep requesting the same items day after day, ei bottled water.
