We enjoyed a one night stay at this hotel while visiting friends in the area.
Hotel is very pleasing to the eye, nice entrance, valet parking, small checkin area, nicely layed out private common areas, beautifully decorated rooms, pool area topnotch, gym, and a dining facility.
Did not have alot of time in hotel but did enjoy breakfast in the morning outside on the terrace. Thought prices were quite reasonable for eggs benedict 12.00,they also had other nice selection on the menu.
Room was very comfortable only a few suggestions....There was no mirrors outside the bathroom for primping{vanity mirror and full length mirror were in the bathroom},only one small garbage can in Jr suite, would be nice to have one near desk and under the wet bar sink. One further note.....Beds very comfortable so I checked out the mattress and pad etc., someone forgot to take the tags off the mattress and boxsprings, thought housekeeping would see this with no problem when changing the sheets......None of these items put a damper on our stay, just a few suggestions for future
Enjoy the comfort and beauty of this hotel.........

“Stay Away - Service Of A One Star Hotel - None!!!!!!!!!”

We arrived at the hotel at 1 AM and the front desk man appeared to be in a different world. It took some time for him to realize I was checking in. It has been downhill ever since. It became a joke to see what would next. The rooms they call junior suites are "small" hotel rooms. The one Bedrooms are a hotel room with a few steps down into a small sitting room. We finally settled on the Deluxe One Bedroom, (which we would call a suite in any other hotel) for about $200.00 more than we originally planned on spending.

The service is non-existant. While at the pool, our drink orders were either forgotten or wrong. One day we thought to try the food. We asked for menus 3 times and when we seemed to be forgotten once again, we walked down the beach to get a bite to eat. When locked out of our room for the 5th time, we asked if the keys could be bought to the 4th floor. After two calls and 15 minutes later, we finally received the keys. One day we would receive the paper and turn down service, the next day we would not. The stories go on. We advise you to look elsewhere. Definately not worth the aggravation.

“Vero Beach Hotel and Club is Top Notch”

After reading reviews on Trip Advisor regarding the Vero Beach Hotel and Club, I decided on this destination for our little weekend getaway. Tired of the gulf coast, I wanted something on the Atlantic and not too far from home. Vero Beach is very low key, not much night life, beautiful beaches though, nice and relaxing. This hotel is by far the best in town, and comes close to perfection in many ways. It is brand new, and very tastefully decorated. We stayed in a Junior Suite. The 2 queen beds were adorned with excellent linens and very comfortable. The sleeping area stepped down to the sitting area and the patio overlooked the pool and the ocean was in view to the left. The floors were like a travertine tile throughout, 2 flat screen T.Vs. dark wood furnishings and fans, very West Indies style. The bathroom was amazing. Large soaker tub with a large, dark wood sliding door that allows a view of the entire suite, thick glass shower behind the tub. I loved the lighting in this place. Everything was on a dimmer, lamps, wall sconces...mood could definitely be created here!
Service was excellent, at the desk, at the pool, in the restaurant, and the valet. All vehicles are valet parked, and included in your "resort fee". Except tips of course. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The changing area inside by the pool for check out day was so nice. Roomy lockers, showers with soap, deodorant, razors, hair dryer, clean towels all provided.
We had dinner one night in the Indigo Room located in the hotel. It is a beautiful restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a beautiful ocean view. Service again was excellent, but I would have to say for the price ($30-$45 per entree) dinner was average. I had tempura lobster, my husband had ahi tuna, and my daughter had a steak. We all thought it was just...OK. Flavors did not wow us. We mentioned this to the concierge and she seemed pleased to hear our input, even though it wasn't positive, stating she would pass along our thoughts.
Comfy, easy to move lounge chairs by the pool, staff sets up chairs and umbrellas on the beach if you like. Pool area very tropical...beautiful palm trees, nice poolside bar/restaurant. Again, even outside, everything is spotlessly clean.
You will love this hotel. So far, I have not been steered wrong on a trip advisor, highly rated hotel, and this one was no exception. Enjoy!

“Avoid a Wedding / Event Here”

Vero Beach Hotel and Club

Jo Bayley and Peter Serena are terrible to work with. Never plan a wedding or event at the Vero Beach Hotel & Club. The hotel is beautiful although the hotel did not invest in good people. We had a nightmare trying to plan our wedding here. We are very reasonable people and this is strictly a function of the Vero Beach Club and the fact that they are inept.

Jo Bayley (Head of Sales) and Peter Serena (General Manager) consistently set false expectations. Jo says she has experience although she was lost the entire time. She was quite rude and never followed up with us and kept leading us on that she would meet our expectations. Jo set the expectation that we could have 100 people at our wedding for May . This expectation was the number we worked with for 2 months until December 30th. Jo sent us an email stating that we would have to reduce our head-count to 70 (30% reduction) 5 months before the wedding. There was no call and Jo stopped returning our calls to discuss this. I talked with Peter about this and he could care less and completely compromised the integrity of the hotel in my opinion..either he has no respect among his employees or he does not care. I could give you numerous examples similar to this but I hope you get the point.

The entire experience was quite strange...we were ready to spend 15k on the wedding for 100 people although they acted as though they wanted nothing to do with us. They kept changing the price structure & contract last minute and it felt like a "bait & switch" tactic to get us to pay more. Additionally, it was impossible to reach Jo after our first few conversations and she deliberately lied to my fiance numerous times about the details and she avoided our calls & emails.

Stay away at all costs. They promise you the world although they did nothing but enhance the stress. The first couple times you speak with Jo you will be pleased but the problems start to occur when you are more embedded in the process.

Check the rates before you check in. I am a travel agent and booked my clients in a 2 bedroom, ocean front suite and requested an upper floor. After the arrived they talked to the front desk after discovering that other guests were paying much less that they were. The front desk was unresponsive. When they called me, I called the manager and explained what the client had told me. He said he would call me back. He didn't call back until the clients went to his office. He said they had lowered the rates, but he was unwilling to give my client the new rate. He did lower the rate by $200 per night, but it should have lowered $400 per night to meet the going rate. The hotel is definitely not 5 star. The staff is very inexperienced. You have to keep requesting the same items day after day, ei bottled water.
