on checking in we were charged an extra $20.00 per day "resort fee", (for "towels, chairs, newspaper, wireless internet and other items" ) which also cause a sales tax and occupany tax to be charged. we were also required to agree to a 50% charge if we left early (does this happen that often ????)
this was not a 1 bedroom condo,.. just an large hotel room, ..with very oversized furniture and poorly laid out. it was very tight with such large furniture. the 2 steps in the middle of the room caused us to trip several times. room had 2 closets, 1 with a furnace and 1 with no hangers. shower provided only warm water, not hot.
we woke up each morning to a thumping sound
the reserved ocean front view was actually a view of several palm trees and the noisy swimming pool, but if you laid on the floor you could seen the ocean.
we could not connect to the wireless so a very nice staff member connected us with a wired connection. ( so much for wireless)
we went to the pool area to get beach towels and on at least 3 trips there we no towels available. once i was told to "stop back in about 1/2 hour". i thought "wow"
another guest at this time was REAL mad and upset..he was realy cussing and chewing at the staff members over a whole lot of issues... they just looked at him ????
on serval visits to each:
the front desk attandants were not always available
the valet parking was not always available
both seemed understaffed for a 5 star (?????) location
some staff members were very nice
but overall just a fair to poor show ............ not a 5 star
